DAMN FTP PROGRAM WONT WORK!!!! ANY HELP?

I am using an old ass FTP program, but it works, and I am happy with it. But I am trying to uplod a rather large .doc file and it keeps cutting out. I cant get the upload to go through. Any suggestions? Im thinking it has something to do with my Wifi.
