Anybody else here take them every day? I just started a few days ago and love them, makes me feel so relaxed and if I take them before bed I go to sleep like a baby.
For those that don't know what contrast showers are, here's how I do them :
1) Get in the shower and take your normal hot shower for 5 minutes (10-15 minutes if a chick, and anywhere from 10-45 minutes if you're a guy with no girlfriend
)
2) Instantly crank the water down to as cold as it goes, ice cold baby. Wash your body in it for about 30 seconds, letting it run through your hair and just making sure it gets everywhere.
3) After 30 seconds of cold, crank it back to hot for around a minute or 2 to warm yourself back up. After 1-2 minutes, crank it back to ice cold for 30-45 seconds.
I usually do 5 cycles (so it's cold 5 times), and always end on the cold cycle.
The first cold crank you'll probably want to scream and say "hell no", but if you man up and just get through it, by the last cold cycle it feels really good and relaxing. You would definitely think that taking an ice shower would wake you the hell up, but if done right it does the opposite.
