This may be the worst 'sales page' you'll ever read. I don't really care because it's more fun than the usual infographic you see in each BST thread :).

Below I'm sharing 7 'out of the box' techniques that our marketing agency uses when building and optimizing a site for a client. Today we are offering one of these services to Wickedfire members.

The first 5 people who correctly guess which service (#1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7!?) I'm selling here, get a free review copy. Only one guess per member is allowed.

Here are my 7 tips to quickly rank sites, get traffic and acquire currency:

1. Content has become incredibly important to rank a site organically. The regular $10/500 word articles do not get you ranked as fast as before. At least that's my experience. We aim to trigger an emotional response with the content on our clients' sites. So we start by examining blogs and newspapers in the niche to see which writers create similar content and target a similar audience as our client. We then create a list of 10 - 20 bloggers and journalists that write exceptional content. We reach out to the bloggers that are prime candidates for our writing position and ask them to write an article for our clients' site. Our clients don't mind paying $100 - $200/article if they only need 2 or 3 sales to make it back. For them it's worth it in the long run.

2. Claiming brand/website property. Now that the site is live with great content, we use Brandclaimer.com to quickly outsource the account registration process on the most important sites. We simply don't have time to do this ourselves. I want Google to instantly know that we are serious about building a big brand site (thanks to CCarter).

3. ForumAccounts.com. There are sooo many forums where people talk about the products and services you offer. Do you run an e-commerce shop related to weddings? Do a search for 'wedding + forums' and start building up a reputation on these forums. With the right approach you can have 100 additional marketing channels and send thousands of qualified leads to your site. On ForumAccounts.com you can outsource the research and account building process. I think they also offer to publish posts for you on the accounts. Sweet!

4. We created a list of 5 'unusual' sites where we post high quality content after the brand property has been claimed and forum accounts have been registered. The sites are: Medium.com, Branch.com (good place to start social discussions), Suite.io, Quora.com and Academia.edu. All sites allow us to link to the clients' site. Just make sure your content and links are of high quality when you hit publish. We then use our niche forum accounts (built in step #3) to send traffic to the properties listed above. Matt Cutts will love you for it.

5. Muut.com. Muut makes it super easy to integrate and manage a forum/community on a site. Start linking from your niche forum accounts to the forum threads hosted on your site with Muut. If you didn't have the patience to start a forum before, consider doing it this way and make sure to outsource the forum posting. We often find it easier to rank a forum thread compared to ranking a deeplink or blog article. Muut is easy to use for our clients' as well.

6. Wikipedia links. The holy grail of links, right? We pay a college or university student to write a 500 word article with lots of (quality) references to proper academic studies. We then post this article on a blank page on our clients' site (no navigation bar, no images... nothing). At the bottom of the article we post a hyperlink to the homepage. We then go back to Wikipedia, find a category related to the site, and find a good place to add the findings in the studies. Then we add the link to our article under 'References'. You can even start building second tier links, and link from Wikipedia to the sites in Tip #4 (academia.edu for example).

7. Last but not least: Stampnote (note app) + Serpfox.com (rank tracker). After I complete a task, I quickly make a note of what has been done to push the project in the right direction. It holds me and my team accountable and I can see if the work that we put in is producing results.

So... are we selling:

1. High priced journalist-type content.
2. The Brand Claimer service.
3. The ForumAccounts.com service.
4. Links and articles from 5 unusual sites.
5. Muut.com forum implementation and posting.
6. Wikipedia links
7. Tracking software

Guess correctly and you get a free copy of the service. Only [5] left!1!11!

All of them. Marketers gonna market. Nice move sir. ;)
