When him and Piers were talking about smoking weed, how it's not a big deal, etc...

I was like.. is this real life?

Yay for steps in the right direction.

About damn time and unfortunately an example of how highly educated intelligent people in the medical establishment make illinformed arrogant decisions. Since I have a relative with schizophrenia I have researched natural treatments and Cannibidol have been proven scientifically in Germany to be as effective at treating phsycosis and depression as standard drugs over a period of 4 weeks, with zero side effects. Yet, there is not a single phsyciatrist in the establishment who are remotely interested in it. Because of the illegality, the cost of 1 gram a day of Cannabidol is prohibitively expensive (>$500) a month), especially for people with mental problems who are usually on disability pensions. But if it was legalized industrial production would make it affordable. I think it is a great crime against humanity to know that THC and Cannabidol have legitimate medicinal benefits with zero to low side effects and not pursue research. That is when I begin thinking about pharma company conspiracies.

It's not just weed either. There are a whole lot of natural treatments with proven effects but close to none studies going on in the EU and US. On the other hand, most new research is coming from Asia.

Another example is Tongkat Ali/Pasak Bumi which works as both a natural viagra and test booster (proven 140% boost in test), yet it is largely unknown in the mainstream. I wonder how many revolutionary new products could be made if the pharma lobby didn't have such a tight grip on legislation.

I am going to put on my tin foil hat here and throw out a hypothetical question here...

Few years ago I saw alex jones talking to some nut about them putting antidepressants in the water supply to keep the american population sedated. That of course is a bit far fetched but the idea sounded interesting and has also been mentioned in books like 1984 (Soma).

Flash forward to recent years when suddenly weed is making this magical breakthrough. Everyone is now talking about it, states are legalizing it, stuff like this is on TV. Weed is now the hip thing and everyone is admitting they are wrong. At the rate we are going it will be legalized within the next few years.

But also think about how right now we are learning about how shady our government is. They want drones in the air over cities, cop cars with real time 360 license plate scanners, they can listen to our phone calls and track everything we do online. Lord only know what kind of shady shit they are up to that we don't know about. But we are slowly learning out fucked we are, and our rights continue to go to shit.

So what if this isn't just 'about time' and everyone isn't just now realizing what is common sense to fucking everyone. You know this fucker is smart, you know he knew the truth this whole time. What if weed is becoming main stream as a way to keep us from looking to closely at what is going on around us. More people smoking could be less people looking...

Use of it as a drug for medical purposes is just fine. Overuse of it in itself is an abuse to your right to a normal life. The problem is that there is a fine line that separates 'use' from 'overuse', which is normal for a commoner to ignore.

I dunno, I think if they wanted to keep conspiracies under wraps, the last thing they'd want is a bunch more stoners.

I can't count how many times a guy in a Che Guevara shirt has asked me "Duuude have you SEEN ZEITGEIST?"

That's true for all effective drugs. Particularly anti-psycothics which have many serious side effects even deadly.

who cares what others do. I don't smoke weed. But people smoking it doesn't hurt me. So the F would I care?

the fact that CNN admits to being wrong implies they took a position in the first place, which says clearly they are in the business of shaping news for their tiny-minded audience rather than just fucking reporting it.

Of course there is likely an alternative motive here at play.. CNN letting one of their major figures (Gupta) come out like this, along with a documentary is likely setting the stage for legalization (or decriminalization), in which the masses will praise their political masters.

Hey Pal and fellow citizens of Wickedfire. "They" are attempting to grow corn that produces these types of drugs in its cells.

If you research the side effects of fluoride it is reduced thinking, slowness and other descriptions that makes people basically non aggressive, slow and stupid.

right, i think that's basically what i was saying... that this is the play of a party with an agenda rather than an entity only fools would still believe is an independent news service. let's be clear -- CNN isn't spending any time at all on the long terms effects of $1.5t annual deficits.

Uhm, so what you mean to say is no matter what it is, don't over do it? Because that applies to vitamins, exercise, milk, water, sun light, and so on.

Nah bro, there's no pro-weed government conspiracy here. It's just plain old demographic trends, and it's been a very long time coming.

The baby boomer generation and previous generations, which had a majority opposing weed are dieing off. The younger generations after them have a majority in favor of legalizing. Even some of the old baby boomers have started to be won over by the medical marijuana movement because they're getting to that age where they are having lots of medical problems and can benefit from it.

Politicians and the media usually only pay attention to trends. They didn't care when weed was a small counter-culture thing. But now you have states where a majority of the population have already voted to legalize. That trend is something that is only going to grow over time, especially as more of the old folks die off and are replaced by younger voters who want to legalize.
