Campaign Cloning

so you conned your friend into convincing him that stealing his campaign would be beneficial for both of you in the long run?

haha. get the fuck outta here

...him and I both wanted to see what would happen I'm not fucking him over. I just told him to check the stats during the 2 hours I did run and he was definately profitable.

Itzbert ill hit you up in a little bit bro.

1) If the ads were running in the same spot. It will kill ROI. This is why giving out information is BAD.

2) Could be the time of day. Or just bad RNG.

The ad network's ADVANCED OPTIMIZATION technique is not doing you any favour. It is not picking sites that the campaign is converting aka you have not spend enough money to weed out the losers.

It's just 1 site so its targeted down that way. I'm guessing if I wanted it to work though I would just have to bid a few cents higher and put up new banners and could probably keep the landing page the same. At least now I know duplicating a campaign isn't doable on most ad networks.

ad network

Wow. A lot of misinformation in this thread.

Same campaign run twice on same ad network = NOT THE SAME

Ad Network is made up of tons of different websites. With the amount you are spending I would guess, you would be most likely running on completely different websites than your friend with same campaign. Therefore, your metrics would be completely different.

The way network ad servers work, a lot of the optimizations can be buried in the ad server so it is hard to run the same campaign.

There are ways to do this but you need to PM with some details and I can probably help out.

^^^^^^

actually this is the case... but from what he pm'd me earlier he is working with a network where you do a direct site purchase... unless he lied about the network...

I would need to hear the details of this but it doesn't make sense if it is just one website. Also, the spend levels he is talking about seem a bit high for one website.

Sorry if I wasn't clear, was pretty sure I mentioned it but I was targeting 1 site, it was a direct site buy that has around a rank of 60 on alexa for site traffic, so the campaign was ran on the same site.

First of all kid I never said anything about what network I was working with in this thread. I admit you were asking me details thinking you would know something in the issue (which I must add you had no help what so ever) so what you have to say has no relevance to anything. So let me tell you something, you better get your facts straight man, 2nd of all what the fuck does it matter what network I am working with in the first place?

Let me just quote something I said before:
It's just 1 site so its targeted down that way.
oh, did I mention I do direct site purchases? Oh yeah thats what I thought, kthx.

Just to add to the point he made it out like I sent him the whole campaign details, the only thing I told him is what ad network I was working with and thats its (yeah that's alot of information to give someone I know, right?).... someone else earlier asked me, not once, but twice to send him my whole campaign details, now ask yourself why the fuck would someone be so stupid as to send someone a campaign whose friend was nice enough to give him his own campaign that is making him $1000s, in hopes for some educational value for the both of them, I don't know about you guys but I feel like thats a bit too unethical.

$10 says it's PoF lol[/QUOTE
No, its not PoF... but you can guess again if you'd like :)

oh shit you outed ppcninja

By ppcninja you mean this guy right?

Actually, you are fucking him over. Big time. You are further saturating his traffic source & campaign.. there is no such thing as a campaign that lasts forever. He is a retard for letting you copy & paste his campaign.

You are stupid for not realizing that and your friend is twice as stupid for not realizing that AND letting you copy his campaign.

... So you know the ad creatives, the targeting, the bid pricing, the impression frequency, the country, the landing page and the times to run it even though I never said it? Okay, good luck copying it and fucking him over then because I sure as hell know I didnt.
