Bitcoin breaks $200

Does Shadowcaster have click tracking on his sig image?

I had for a while, top was about 40 clicks per day.. It's redirected to wickedfiire now tho, which I host atm, but unfortunately AWstats doesn't count htaccess redirects, but in Latest visitors I see 19 clicks today, can't seem to get earlier data.

People actually click on your shit? You couldn't pay me to click on one of your links.

Bitinstant took off the option for MtGox -> PayPal, is there anywhere else that supports that? I am looking to sell MtGox funds for PayPal.

Relax guys, if you missed out on BTC, you can try LTC (litecoins)

It is going to Mt. Gox very soon and it will rise in value.

NMC (namecoins) is also likely going to Mt Gox soon (strong rumors) so you might as well get it too

Good luck bros

Oh joy, more anonymous currencies with no real merchant support. That means even more of these shitty shitty threads here.

MtGox is right now the official, trusted exchange. Sure, there's btc-e too, but that's more of just a trading platform. If MtGox carried Litecoins, coins with absolutely no value because not a single person accepts them as payment anywhere, they'd stoop down to that reputation of a lower exchange like btc-e.

The money they'd make from carrying it wouldn't be worth the hit to their credibility. Litecoins are going nowhere in terms of usefulness. Besides the fact that they are worth more than the other alternative coins, they are exactly the same in that no one is using them.

And the only info anyone has that MtGox will carry them is that tweet that promised absolutely nothing. They have not backed up that statement at all...My 2c

(However, I could be completely wrong and if I'm wrong and MtGox does start carrying them, there's a lot of money to be made when they go from 5 -> 20 or even to 10.)

True

I'm in the crypto currency thing mostly for speculation, but I have had a few people looking to pay in btc / ltc for SEO

For those who aren't aware, LTC is next to btc and it is going to Mt. Gox (likely this month) which means thousands of users are going to grab it.

It costs around $5 per ltc right now.

Mt Gox is missing out on tons in fees. LTC is at $5 right now and its already too big for them to miss out on.

True that very few people actually accept LTC right now, but the number is growing.

They are likely to make an announcement about it soon. No very clear yet, but from what I've seen, its very likely happening soon. They are probably hoarding on ltc as much as they can before they make an official announcement.

This is very likely to happen :)

I can see litecoin at 7 soon, but bitcoin is still the best in terms of stability and viability

In the short term litecoin might go up. Longer term it should drop relative to BTC because the coins are produced faster and it will always have smaller adoption / utility. Litecoin just now got its silk road equivalent named Atlantis.

Litecoin produces no real advantage to Bitcoin and has the additional disadvantage of soon to be the mining coin of choice for botnets.

Why is the number of people accepting LTC growing? Show me a single person accepting LTC as payment. Like literally. Anyone.

Dude, you didn't give a single reason why they would carry it to counter my points. LTC is not "too big not to carry". Look at the charts. They just recently got ANY value. LTC is not big, people are buying them up speculating that MtGox will carry them, that is the only value. That and they are the alternative cryptocurrency currently worth the most, so if something were to happen, like MtGox carrying, it would be to them.

Though I could eat my words if they do carry them, and at 5 each, there probably isn't a lot of harm in buying some up.
