Big G's Hilarious Propoganda Piece

Rex, I respect what you said and mostly agree.

Two sticking points in my head near the end though:

It's not that we don't have compassion, but it's the tough love we give...
In my experience tough love is only a kinder way of saying "tough shit." You may not want anyone to die when you practice tough love on them, but be honest, you're also not willing to give them your kidney, either.

I'm originally from near Georgia... My parents used the phrase tough love quite a lot, like when both my brothers went to their various rehabs.

Once I moved away and saw the world, I found out that other parents do a WHOLE lot more for their alcoholic kids than just keep sending them back to rehab and calling it "tough love."

...and why we have a much higher concentration of successful IM'ers than everywhere else.

...Are you sure it's not the boobs?

Tough shit indeed.
Nobody is responsible for your success except you. People aren't always going to be there to give you the answer, so be thankful for what you get from others for free, and stop bitching.

Your parents are a different story, but nobody here is your family.
You're parents are really all about the tough love? Maybe they should have been more tough the first time one of your brothers went to rehab, and you wouldn't be here telling your sob story.

Luke, let me elaborate on what was meant here.

Google is a major company. They can't come out and support people spamming other websites in order to enhance their rankings, even though that's what has to happen the more Google and other SEs put emphasis on site popularity, social media exposure, etc. They caused the spam by how they chose to operate their algorithm and know it has to happen, however they can't publicly support it or they'd be sued.

So, when you hear us say, "Get off your ass and stop being a sheep and actually work," it isn't meant negatively saying that you're a 'tard. It's us saying, "Read between the lines," and rationalize this stuff out yourself and take what corporations say with a grain of salt on the surface.

We aren't WaFo or DP and believe whatever they say to be the gospel truth. Hell, I was just looking through a thread on WaFo today because it came up for a search and saw that they've now issued a rule the last several months that no one can make reference to building profile backlinks and other tactics (even in just passing for a case study) since they are "evil" tactics.

We want you to make money, and we want you to be successful. We aren't going to sugar coat it or make stupid rules to keep you from it. It's not that we don't have compassion, but it's the tough love we give and why we have a much higher concentration of successful IM'ers than everywhere else.

Thanks. This is pretty much what I was getting at but didnt feel like it. I wasn't saying "Fuck you, OP." In fact I have spent more time over the last several years helping other people and discussing shit than working on my own stuff. I don't mind too much. I enjoy chatting with people and usually I find I get something out of it, some mutual benefit, and usually learn something about myself in the process. That said, I still find that in this business you can literally give people step by step instructions and around 99 times out of 100 they will still fail or simply not do anything. Thats probably why I don't care too much about "gurus" giving away "secrets" and shit- most people won't even use the secrets and then bitch about their failures. At the same time I'm not exactly sitting here wanting to spend all my time teaching people shit either. Anyone who wants to know shit can find out like I did. No one held my hand and gave me a magical key. I read shit, sougth knowledge, learned figured out shit on my own. Yeah, I probably got lucky and stumbled upon people who knew some shit, but I wouldnt have gotten anywhere unless I interpreted and used it in my own way. I find so many people who can receive information but they really lack any ability or even initiative to really process and use it. And I'm still far from where I would like to be.. It's not just that I'm thinking, "well I had to go through years of work. So fuck you, find it out yourself." It's that I KNOW you will be much better off if you figure out certain things on your own. The whole "teach a man to fish" thing.

I don't think anyone lacks empathy. Speaking for myself, I just get frustrated with people who only want rewards and don't expect to do any of the work. And whether you trust Google as gospel... that's really something determined by the whole experiences of your LIFE and not something someone can really teach you in a short amount of time. We are talking about thinking and reasoning skills you should be picking up from your childhood on that serve you for the rest of your life.

Stick around here and you will learn a lot of shit. You will be able to take advantage of the work of others, test shit out yourself, and figure out how you need to go. Just don't expect everything to be handed to you. The explanation about Google is right on. They have an interest in webmasters in doing certain things but they can't come right out and say shit. This is somethign corporations, specificially publicly traded ones just have to do.

esus Christ on a Crumbly Cracker!

Why don't you just say, "Fuck all lazy Children" and "Fuck all people who haven't tried and succeeded at everything yet..."

Have some friggin' compassion man... This type of mindset leads to nuking everyone and everything in your feild of view.

FWIW, this attitude is my biggest gripe with WickedFire.

Yes, I was a newb once on WaFo once (2005, to be exact) and I remember how it was... For every barrel of lazy rebastards there was only one good apple there trying to learn.

But if you treat everyone like the rotten 'tard, then the few people like yourself can't succeed in a reasonable amount of time... And many of those people give up, go back to the 9to5, and even lose their homes.

-Luke
Are you kidding me? WickedFire is like the family I never had. This is the first time I've seen a member post a "I'm leaving forever" post and someone from the forum actually went to his house to make sure he's ok. That's not caring? I for one, fucking love this place and it's "fuck you" disposition, nothing has motivated me more. And when you actually sit and listen, ignore the e-penis contests there is a metric-shit-ton of great information here you can apply and make a buck. If you give up, go back to your 9 to 5 and lose your home I'd say you weren't cut out for this work and you should have stuck to your 9 to 5 so you didn't lose your home. Don't be stupid.
