I'm having the problem where I can't download self hosted it just sends me to the buy premium page.

Truffles,

To answer some of your questions.

2- Ill need more info about the flash error. Does it come up everytime? Shoot me an IM and i can have my designer take a look, once we properly see the problem.

3- Small bug, Ill have that fixed.

4- If the forum is busted, log out of bevo and then relog in. Then go back to the forum it should work :) It only works if you are logged in, and your session is still valid.

Fiver - send password does work, it jsut doesnt send to certain emails pending on your server. email me if you want me to reset or just create a new account.

Ryan,

A couple things regarding the new design...

  1. Please bring back a MTD view in the dashboard somewhere. You used to have it on the right, next to "Today" and now you just have "Today" at the top. I check my stats frequently via my mobile during the day and this new layout and the removal of MTD makes it a real PITA to get that stat. (Of course, a mobile site would solve this *hint hint*)
  2. The main dashboard is giving me a pop-up that says "A script in this movie is causing Flashplayer 10 to run slowly, yada yada yada" and it is grinding system response to a halt.
  3. On the dashboard where the first two columns are Rev (which changes based on the date range selected) and MTD Rev, MTD Rev just gives me zeroes, regardless of the date range I put in. I'd think that should populate automatically with whatever the current MTD Rev is.
  4. Support link is still busted

Thanks for the responses Ryan. Forum works for me now. Once I get back from my trip I'll try to maybe post some details and screenshots to your forum for your dev to fix.

Question...what is the best way to make you aware of support requests? Posting in this thread? Or posting in your forum?

from the wordings on the page, self hosted is only for premium members
Yep, that's what it looks like. Would be helpful if it was made a little clearer on the page.

I definitely want to test it out before dropping money on the self-hosted, but not sure if I'm willing to try a 3rd-party hosted service at its infancy. Guess I'll watch for feedback here & maybe launch a small test campaign on the hosted version to decide...

Feature request: Auto-optimizing multivariate testing

First network or tracking platform that releases multivariate is gonna have to warm-up their check signing hand.

But this is an intensely difficult feature. That's why it doesn't exist yet.

The trouble is scaling it out. It will certainly require very large clusters and very large NAS. Many TB's... perhaps PB's... No joke.

Is bevo premium worth it? it says there 200 more features but i can't find any information on that. 200 sounds a LOT and i thought Ryan would want to list it down. Or is it just some unimportant features.

It exists, believe me it exists.

Ok. I created a tracking link and it leads to the following page:

"Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2) in /home/linked/bevo/track/database.php on line 21
Connection: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)"

I tried to access the support forum and got a link with an infinite loop.

Can't even try this.

And one more error:
When you create a tracking code for the DirectPPV network, Bevo adds {{sm_vur}} at the end of a tracking link, but it should be {{sm_vurl}}

Ditto. Is the service down right now?

Hey guys,

Sorry for any delayed response. I was in NYC for a whole week, and lost power in the laptop a day into it.

To answer all of your questions, Yes - Self hosted is included in the Premium membership. Every premium self hosted member thus far is happy, and if anything pops up, they have access to a 24/7 personal line for immediate attention. We are making it a point to push the customer service hard for those who pay.

We are evolving fast, and have huge features coming in, what you see now is just the beginning.

If you have a forum "infinite loop" error, you need to log out of bevo, relogin, and then access the forum again. It infinitely loops when your Bevo session times out, since it only allows users to access it when they are logged in.

If you got a MySQL error earlier, it may have been because we were updating some files randomly throughout the day. If you find a link that is always giving errors, let me know and I will get it fixed immediately.

Posting in the Bevo Media forum in your Bevo Media Account is by far the best way to go for support if you are nonpremium. That is checked multiple times a day.

Interesting.. and you've run all the back-of-the-envelope math on storage needs as it scales out?

It's certainly not a php-mysql feature... to scale it's gotta go the unconventional-nosql-db-and-distributed-filesystem route.
