just tried to install self hosted version on a wiredtree vps, in a sub-folder. Did the whm/permissions fix, install said "success" but when i clicked "here to login" it brought me out to the root domain, with the sub-folder omitted. When i went to the domain.com/subfolder/ where bevo should be located, I get an Internal Server Error. Any idea how to fix? Looks like the perms on index.php are 755 already so I'm not sure why it would throw an error.

Bizzy - Yes we have one click updates on self hosted :)

Try installing in your main directory. That should do the trick. If not - Shoot me a PM if you need specific help and me or lee can take you through it. Helped set up a few guys on Wiredtree today.

How long does the rackspace wizard install take? It's been sitting there for like 10+ minutes now at "configuring your server".

@DKMPO - Sure thing hit me up on aim or via email, we'll get you set asap.
ducks- it should take about 10-15minutes. If it doesnt shoot me a PM and we will look into it. You can always do the manual rackspace method as well.

Will be back in AM to approve some more accounts :)

Selfhost giving Internal Server Error is usually related to .htaccess -- either enable mod_rewrite, or try commenting out lines 2+3 of the .htaccess file (starting with php_value, add a "#" to the beginning of the line, so it looks like "#php_value") -- they're not required lines, they just attempt to reduce the number of PHP variables you have to configure. ~90% of people should already have the values set correctly.

We don't support installing in a subfolder, parts of the application might *look like* it works, but many things will be broken, please use the root of a subdomain instead.

Your support ticketing system is PAINFULLY small and rather worthless if you're copy/pasting data, any reason it needs to be that way?

Submitted a ticket regarding database permissions...

anyone else having the initial check for zip extension failing?

I'm sure this is my server config or php default config, but in case anyone has any suggestions to try I'd be game.

Just got approved.....this is the shit. props to you guys for the 2 years you put into it. I will try to get it set up with wired tree at some point and will let you know if I get any errors or bugs when testing it.

I've been messing around with this since yesterday and I'm pretty blown away at the potential of this thing. I can easily see it becoming my single tracking solution for all of my web projects. I think everyone is pretty aware of the caliber of support these guys provide and if not, well... It's the shit! Ryan has been more responsive than a fat girl at a bar :D A+

You need the PHP zip extension installed. Hit me up with your server OS and I can get you specific instructions. While technically optional, this is used for the install process, and also automatic upgrades. Without it, you'd probably have to reinstall bevo and wipe the database every time we release a new version, because the automatic upgrade process handles DB table migrations.

Thanks! We've had lots of people use WiredTree, which is CentOS+cPanel based, but we don't directly support this. Hit us up if you run into trouble, we're compiling a knowledgebase of "howtos" for various hosts. For the best Bevo experience, we suggest putting it on it's own unmanaged VPS, 256MB or larger, with Ubuntu 10.04 or Debian 5.0 as an operating system and setup using our server configuration script (beta.bevomedia.com/BevoMedia/User/ServerScript.html). Or let us do it for you on Rackspace, starting at $10/mo. In my honest, not-trying-to-sell-you-this-shit opinion, Rackspace Cloud is the way to go, because you can log into your hosting panel and scale the server up or down quickly without losing any data or sanity.

Just signed up. Looking forward to checking it out. Nice work from what I can see so far. Thanks for putting so much time and effort into this. It will benefit more people than you probably imagined.
