Bevo Media Launch

^^ doesnt matter, all that will happen will be people running the same targets with the same landers and driving up bid prices at the same time.

this is much like when everyone flooded p360 and Adsonar with rebills and now look at it.

I pretty much lost any respect for this guy if he releases this PPV spy, Basically he will fuck every real affiliate running pops in the industry.

If an affiliate's only competitive advantage is first mover and skillful arbitrage, then they already screwed themself.

Also, We get charged for every pop he's scraping, Thanks for giving noobs my lander and pretty much depleting budgets.

I'm sure trafficvance and Mediatraffic will sue him and it should put a end to this tool.

Hmm. Hadn't thought about that - not very cool. Guess the one-time fee might not be such a good investment ;)

Anyone tried the PPV Spy feature yet? Have to say I'm extremely skeptical. PPV networks can manipulate traffic patterns in very complex ways. Surely it wouldn't take long for them to block the spy.

I've been playing with it for weeks.

This isn't some little piece of software that a russian spent an afternoon coding... I know Ryan has been working on this for months with his team of programmers. And it shows.

I believe 6-8 guys who played with it made money from their first campaign using the data from PPV spy. And besides me and another guy they weren't exactly experienced... to say the least.

It will change your game if you use it, there's no question about it.

Hey dude, I was about to hit the order button yesterday, only one thing pushed me back for a while. The tool does not tell clearly which CPV networks it spy? TV, MT, LI or all? Can you please let me know. If it cant be made public a PM will be nice.
Cheers.

No matter how hard I try I can't get this thing installed (self hosted). I have tried my own host as well as the automated Rackspace installer....this is what I get:

WTF does this mean? I just spent $600 (bad move?) on this and I need to get it working so I can launch some campaigns.

Oh, the support forum is dead, and there is no way to contact anyone for help.

Not happy right now.

Interested to see how it plays out.

Bevo will profit (obv from selling subscriptions to PPVSpy) and networks will profit (not as much from fake bevo views, but from everyone jacking everyone else's landers/offers/targets).

Affiliates who, in the past, relied on their creativity will have to work harder to keep monetizing their creativity.

As for affiliates who relied on copying others, they will profit a little, but again, jacked up bids will hurt them as well

It looks like you are installing on a server that doesnt have proper extensions enabled. I sent you a PM. Support is normally available during normal business hours. I try to help as much as I feasibly can after hours.

Check your PM and feel free to hit me up on AIM if you need anything urgently.

really?

because I've spent much of this year building direct relationships/campaigns OUTSIDE the aff network space. Harder to replicate, longer contract cycles and more close relationships with bigger and more well capitalized companies means that Joe Schmoe from BFE is gonna have a harder time replicating my campaign even if he rips it off directly.

Things like this only serve to confirm that in order to avoid the constant thinning of margins coupled with nonpayment issues from advertisers/networks this was a good move.

Not sure that networks are gonna love this either - with more competition comes thinning of THEIR margins as affs aren't seeing 300% returns and not particularly caring the network may be taking 15% and backing another 5% out w/ pixel variance. When there are now 30 people w/ the same lp same targets and same offers I bet these start squeezing.

I've had a subscription to PPV Spy for a week or so. It's pretty impressive but I'm not sure it's a game changer. Anyone with any real experience is going find the results pretty obvious. It's very similar experience to SpyFu and all the other PPC Spy sites.

There are also inaccuracies. I managed to find one of my own landers listed but the targets suggested by PPV Spy were all 100% wrong.

It's OK for newbies and I guess that is the market. But basically, if you want to get anywhere in PPV you are going to need other tools. Like your brain.

It's cool. Thanks Ryan...I was just frustrated trying tons of stuff to get it working. I was actually trying to install using the automatic Rackspace API installer on the Bevo site and that seems to be broken currently.

Just as long as I can get help in a feasible amount of time I'm good. :)

Quick update-
Just added geotargetting. You can now show different landers/offers to certain people based on their geo location. Worldwide, down to the city level.

Geoparting will be done early next week. Have a few more nice features being added as well.

Support has been fantastic and helping us a ton. Keep the feature requests coming!

I should also add that you dont need to be using our tracker to use it. Although you surely can use our tracker with it, it's easily integratable with any other tracking system you may have. You technically dont even need a tracker to make it work, just add a snippet of coding on your page.

When are you going to launch the social part of it? That's what I am really looking forward to..

Yes we sure are. Jumping through all sorts of hoops for that. Thats going to be one of our monster launches. You'll def be hearing about it when we are done!
