ATTN: Forum Spammers

I run several forums so usually I HATE forum spammers but I temporarily need to BECOME one so I'm asking for your help. Here is the scoop:

Some douchebag is joining a few of my forums and sending PMs to users basically trying to recruit them to HIS forums which compete directly. I've banned him repeatedly but he keeps manually being a huge pain in the ass.

So basically, I want to throttle the power of one of these forum spamming tools and just direct it to ONE site. Sign up about 200 accounts and just spam the hell out of his forum with just pointless crap that renders his forum useless.

Shut down the private message system for a while and moderate the first 5 or 10 posts. Problem solved.

not sure what the PM function variables are...but that's more or less the end of the problem.

Send out a forum wide PM message, Email message, Sticky post detailing what he does and outing him on your forum so your users know.

Yeah I'm going to install some vB plugins/products that fix the problem but this kid has sent me emails telling me to fuck myself. Some little punk... kind of want to teach him a lesson.

But then I guess I'm trying to flex muscles I don't have. Damn. Now I feel like the kid thats like, "I'm gonna get my boys to fuck you UP!" and then I tell all my friends and they're like, "you're on your own man" hahaha

And then he would reciprocate the favour, with the end course being both of your forums being fucked. At times using logic (mergers come to mind) works better with tough competition than emotions, especially when emotions are starting to come into play. I hope you get what I'm trying to convey.

This reminds me of an asshole I was trying to deal with on craigslist who kept stealing my ads. Let me tell you it ended bad for both of us and I think we realized each other was more trouble than it was worth. As much as I hate to say it, you might just want to address the spam prevention in your forum and leave his alone. <<Holding my finger from the delete key( really want to tell you to just fuck his shite up.)
