1) You missed the fact that without soliciting criminal activity and dealing with criminals, WikiLeaks wouldn't not only have no material to publish, it would have no reason to exist.
WikiLeaks by its nature feeds off of criminal acts and owes its existence to criminals.
2) Being a foreign national does not mean you aren't obliged to uphold the country's laws.
I've never seen you bitch about Iran's foreign policy or government. Or Venezuela. Or North Korea. Or China. Or anybody else for that matter.

I'm kind of dimwitted so I might not have this right, but Assange is a reporter, and he is not passing facts along to foreign governments he is publishing them. That is protected under the first ammendment even if it is state secrets.
