Ya, that's probably true. Companies certainly won't look to the channels that give them the best ROI (read email marketing, and AM). If anything, as marketing budgets shrink, the channels that provide the most bang for the buck will be reallocated to.

Trust me, I haven't even begun to bash. You opened Pandora's box. You came to a forum full of people who work their collective asses off and asked a question like that.

However, many of the posters here are clowns, copy ads, copy lps, do the same shit everyone else is doing. Oh noes! I can't put grant ads on FB anymore! For those people, I could see how the recent shakeups might cause some uncertainty.

So to your question...is affiliate marketing going to get tougher for the people looking to make an easy buck without much experience, intelligence or work ethic? Probably. And I say fuck those people. Your question immediately sticks you into that category for me. It may not be fair, but I really don't care.

I'm glad the landscape is changing. It's going to be healthy for the industry as a whole. The people here who are innovating, being creative and actually have some semblance of skill are going to flourish...even more so than before. I welcome a change, it's much needed.

Ive said it befo' and i'll say it again yo, learn some copywriting skills and start selling physical products (no fucking rebill shit and shady fuckin ringtones & whatever else)

It is much much easier than promoting cpa shit and guess fucking what? google, yahoo, msn facebook etcetera etfuckingcetera won't deny and slap the shit outta you all the time.

I'm not saying people have never been slapped by G and what not (Ive never been slapped and i promote penis enlargement crap & weight loss pills, shady as it gets) but it's happens a hell of a lot less than cpa offers, i can give you a 60 day fuckin guarantee on that.

I'm right in the middle of product creation right now, it will be my first and I'm pretty excited.

I have a strong feeling it's going to be a lot easier (and profitable) selling your own product than it is selling someone elses.

Definitely. You don't have to worry about floating cash, offering support, start-up cost, customer complaints, development, design, business relations, shipping/fulfillment, refunds or charge backs. Each dollar in your account is a dollar made! And there is no competitors taking a loss when acquiring new customers that they hope to make back eventually and use their existing base to float those. Nope.

Seriously, having your own offer has its advantages, the higher life-time value of the customer being one of them, but pretending that it's easier? Do your research. Or don't, and fail.
