All affiliate marketing is is selling someone elses product/service and receiving a commission. So, no.
I actually see things differently. Read around about it, many people are saying that the affiliate industry will flourish, or it will at least flourish in certain niches.
Affiliate marketing is like the stock market. There is money to be made on the upside as well as the downside.
Ya gotta stick to those herd mentality markets and you'll do fine.
Pregnancy, parenting, bar mitzvahs, birth and death, marriage, confirmation, other tribal rituals and things that come out of that (wedding favors, anyone?) weight loss (because one constant is that everyone is still going to be fat), dating, sex, making money, employment, resumes, etc.
These markets are all booming and will continue to. Some exceptions - people might spend less on their wedding, but they are going to spend something on it because every little princess out there spends half her life dreaming about a horse and carriage and a huge ring, etc.
The vendors and companies might go out of business, then you just switch programs to the vendors who are still alive and functioning. As an affiliate you have the easiest job in the world. You dont' have to worry about which companies go bankrupt. You just study trends and exploit the shit out of them and work with whichever companies are still alive.
