Anyone ever hear of Astonish Results? (SEM Company that does insurance)

Admittedly, after talking to some cats that DO use Astonish, they seem to handle much more than just SEO and web development. Right now I'm sitting a webinar they're running discussing their quasi-client management system, which seems to be a pretty enormous marketing tool to be used. Their lead generation is fairly dependent on the amount of effort that one puts into it, but I guess any relationship is like that?

Information into this? I'd love to watch the webinar lol.

I used to work for a legal SEO firm that ranked laywers for terms like "boston dui attorney" or "san diego criminal lawyer"

i'd say our average contract cost 40-75K a year.

now lemme tell you something - our sales team was alot bigger than the SEO team, thats for sure... We had about 20 people whose job it was to google lawyers with web sites and cold call their offices to generate leads. Another 5 Account managers whose job it was to actually try and sell them on these services - and about 5 people doing the SEO work.

ZOMG! TWINS!

Oh m gee, just because they have all the same information and are the only ones posting favorably about Astonish Results is no reasons to draw conclusions about their sexuality.

100k is ridiculous and i read some other threads on insurance msg boards about them and tell your father to stay away

Well they said they were into cock sucking like that Zach Booker kid from Canada so its based on facts, not conclusions. :321:

Hehe, busted!

I actually met Nolz28 at the same time he found this board and started posting, and have since signed up as a network tech for him, doing server stuff. I was posting from his office.

*sheeeeeepish grin*

Time will tell, if this works...I'm guessing no...

Found this thread & had to join just 'cause Astonish makes me ill. For me, the contracts were hilarious...and no not 100k. $2750 to $3000 per month w/5 year commitment. So closer 165k & up.

The sales person who repeatedly phoned was amazing...amazingly bad. Noreen was her name and when I did return her call, her reply was,"oh, so you've changed your mind and decided to grow your business?" What kind of f'ing statement is that?!

Anyway, she spoke fast and tried to sell thru fear. With many agents that might just work (agreed, most of these agents are older and not web savvy). Well I'm not old & each time I asked her simple questions, she deflected. "You have to sit thru our presentation, I cannot reveal blah-blah-blah." Hell I don't want to buy a time share honey, I want to learn what kind of unique system you offer that people are bending over, handing you tons of cake and getting no vasoline. If you can't answer a few straight forward questions, why am I going to give you two hours of my life?

Another agency Paradiso (?) tends to flame anyone who speaks ill of the mighty Oz as well. And they all have such ass ugly sites.

Anyway bit of a rant, but I think they sell fear and sizzle. But what about in a year or two when we discuss client retention. For that kind of money, you can hire a college kid full time...or Josh?

Josh (saberkiwi), good job losing the argyle sweater.

I actually know a lot of people using this company for marketing. They really go after the agents that have been in the industry for a lot of years and have a big book of business already. So they can afford the prices that Atonish is charging. I personally think the company is a rip off and they charge way to much for their services, but I guess their target marketing really knows nothing about Internet Marketing.

Whew.....

I can't thank you enough for this site and the posts I have read on Astonish Results. I was actually considering using their service but of course it sounded too good to be true and it is. Another scam....
That kind of output of funds sounded ridiculous to me and why sign such a lengthy contract if they are providing a service with results there is not need for a 5 year contract. I have only been in the business for the last 3 years, I was a nurse before and am looking for a legitimate way to optimize my website and get quality leads and traffic. It is not easy, I currently buy internet leads which as oversold and a nightmare.
Thanks again for sites like this, it saves honest people from getting scammed.........it's too cool the way you busted the two guys working together from the same IP address and identified him in the photo....you should be detectives.....nice work!
:);)

Astonish Results is Not Just an SEM Company

Disclosure: I am an employee of Astonish Results and have no intention of promoting our services, just clearing up misconceptions about Astonish Results that appear in this thread. I apologize for not doing this sooner.

Everyone can agree that 100K for an SEO contract is ludicrous unless you are a very large insurance agency or a direct insurer like Geico or Progressive (who consequently spend A LOT more).

Astonish Results IS NOT AN SEO or SEM COMPANY. The system we provide offers a combination of sales training, social media construction and strategy, CRM tools, website design, SEO, SEM, a lead generation engine and a new way of doing business for most agencies.

As I’m sure anyone on this thread can attest, there are different SEO methods; some black hat, some white hat and some in the gray. Astonish only employs 100% white hat SEO methods that comply with best practices set forth by Google and other search engines. Many will argue (and do) this isn’t as effective, but we’re most concerned with the long-term viability and ranking of our insurance partner websites and not so much quick fixes that will help them spike in the short term with the risk of losing it one day.

Our system demands a premium price because it replaces 7-10 different vendors, which many insurance agency owners find more convenient than trying to piece all of the different elements together, especially if they are less than tech-savvy (as many are). We’ve also added and will continue to add new SEO practices, upgraded our site building platform and hired multiple staff to the SEM team since this thread was started.

We’ve never claimed to the best SEM company on the planet, but when used together, the suite of tactics and tools Astonish provides give an insurance agency the opportunity to future-proof and grow.

Lastly, I know it’s semantics but the term “scam” is defined as, “fraudulent activity for making a quick profit.” Astonish has been in business since 2006 and currently serves close to 250 insurance agencies from 44 different states.

We've hired over 100 years of insurance industry underwriting and consulting experience in the past three months alone. Our services and approach to selling aren't for everyone, but our 80+ employees help a lot of agencies reach their goals and there is nothing fraudulent about the way we operate.

We appreciate the concern of wanting to protect insurance agents from shady SEO and SEM outfits that seek to take advantage, but we are not in that category.

Nick, you guys push yourselves as exactly that.

I've dealt with you guys PERSONALLY. Your pitch explicitly states that you replace all of the other vendors including SEO/SEM.

You must be going on a forum search for astonish because you responded to the same question on Insurance Forums...

I wouldn't call your service a scam, just over-priced and worthless. Every client of yours I saw had terrible alexa/compete scores and relatively no backlinks.

Also, it's not upfront. They tie you into a long term monthly contract that equals nearly 60K+.
