The leading power of this world is money, with so many of it being generated by members of this board, it's good to see that posts of altruistic behavior are praised, whereas thinly veiled brag threads are met with discontent.

How can anyone who realizes the potential that's wasted by owning such a car, purchase it? It's only use is seems to be filling the empty shell of the owner with the cum of their ego masturbation factory.

Damn that is some creative wordsmithery there z =P

I don't think that there's anything wrong with treating yourself for a job well done.

Some people are motivated by achieving goals and getting rewards. Others are motivated by giving money & time to support causes, but it's all ego satisfaction.

Nobody said that the only thing the OP does with his money is buy expensive plastic sports cars anyway, he could be very philanthropic for all we know.

To me, the problem arises when you put a priority on buying toys and other short term ego satisfying vanities.

BTW - I missed the threads of altruistic behavior - got any links, I'm curious to see something praiseworthy!

If we were into altruism (selflessness) then we wouldn't bother to earn the monies.

There is nothing wrong with owning the car, but yeah it does represent several thousand meals.

I would cover my ass by saying while I am against altruism, I am for charity but I don't even believe in charity anymore. If you want to help someone, give them a job, not a handout. Give them something productive to do that increases their self-worth and teaches them skills, instead of teaching them dependency.

Anyway, I would never spend that kind of money on a car. I think someone else wrote, the more I make, the cheaper I get. When you understand how hard it is to make the next buck, you treat the first one with that much more care.

A lot of the younger guys who are actually making a ton of money also haven't actually had long term success yet. Making a million a year for 1 year is a hell of a lot different than making a million a year for a dozen years. I wouldn't expect to see any big flashy houses and cars...unless you have no regard for your future.

Ding ding ding! Give this man a prize!

And this my friends is why we don't see affiliates on here living the movie star lifestyle. When the berries, teeth whitening, colon cleansing and google money dry up because the FTC cracks down heavily on rebills, all these guys will see a 95% drop in profit. Until then we get to read about guys who have just made their first 10k (or 100k or 1000k) getting all excited because they dropped a few grand on a new TV

@ngo - Being a good affiliate marketer or even just being smart doesn't translate to being a good investor. There are plenty of smart, smart guys who have lost their shirts and more on Wall st. You're actually proving my point because now is probably the worst time to buy stocks and houses. Do so research on what a 'dead cat bounce' is and if I were you, I'd stick to skin care.

EXACTLY.

Good luck finding the bottom. I'll dollar cost average you up side your head so fast you won't know what hit you.

Good luck dollar cost averaging in a sideways or slightly down market (for property, in real terms). I'm not buying any shares or property for at least another 2 years (although I may play with options). The opportunity cost of having money in either market at the moment is too high.

Dude, you're one of the worst offenders!

I remember when you made that post, I called one of the other guys I know doing AM and said "If that's the pinnacle of AM, then we might as well give up now".
Have you seen mine?

Seriously, get over it. Some people don't like spending money. And some people realize exactly what is and isn't necessary.

Your over-analysis may paralyze you and leave you thinking two years down the road why I'm beating you by a conservative 5 basis points.

I get that some people don't like spending money. But remember in marketing you have to tell a congruent story. In other words, don't tell me how much you're killin it and then twitter that your trying to save $5 by sneaking food into the movies in your girlfriends handbag.

$5 is nothing, even to people on an average wage. Life isn't a computer game and your don't keep score via your bank balance. They only reason to make money is so you can do things or have things and I don't see much of either amongst the 'rockstar super-affiliates'.

Edit: By 'rockstar super-affiliates', I mean guys on here or in blogs who can't stop telling you how hard they bank.

WTF? Doesn't matter if I have billions, I'm not paying $4 for a soda or whatever the fuck those bastards want me to pay.

Actually, more likely than not, I'm just going to get the damn thing on bootleg prior to the theatrical release.
