A Power Vacuum So Strong I Can Feel It 7,000 Miles Away

What happens with a world superpower dissolves the glue that holds a country together then leaves?

Case study:

Hypothetical: What if that superpower never left? What if ISIS, just like Al-Qaeda, is a shadow army under CIA/US control?

Sound crazy? Why would the U.S. allow the embarrassment of having the Iraqi military, trained and funded by the U.S. - to be defeated by ISIS?

If they're such a scary boogie man, why don't we send troops in to stop them? Where do they get their funding? And no matter what the answer to that is, who controls the funding to the regimes that back them?

They're the "wealthiest terrorist organization in the world"...

That much money wouldn't catch CIA attention would it?

Regardless, why are we being trained to fear them? It couldn't have anything to do with a "perpetual war on terror" to keep the masses in a state of never-ending fear so they feel it's their patriotic duty to send their children off to fight and die for the private profit of special interests could it?

Good thing they decided to censor this guy's butt crack. Nobody wants to see an ass while they are watching executions.

I dont think the strategy is to make Americans fear them, I think they want us to want them dead.

Working pretty much .

Looks like we're bombing ISIS - 500 pounds of straight freedom.

The US campaign began with the deployment of 500-pound laser-guided bombs at around 6:45 a.m. EST on Friday, August 8th, Pentagon officials confirmed. The effort is ostensibly to slow the spread of ISIS, otherwise known as “Islamic State in Iraq and Syria” or just “the Islamic State.”

The group’s swift and recent emergence came following at least a decade of US military intervention in the region. Iraq’s government under Saddam Hussein was, if nothing else, stable. Subsequent efforts to install a westernized government proved to be remarkably expensive, ineffectual, and short-lived.

The effort to “install democracy” proved itself to be a quagmire that has enabled different sets of tyrants and terrorists to take over the region.
The President explained that this campaign is humanitarian in nature, and not an act of war.

Those bombs are 100% peace makers, we are not declaring war on you but we will blow you to bits with laser-targeted love.

All joking aside, seeing shit like this really puts into perspective all the stupid shit I use my energy for. Who cares about my latest google rankings or the fact that my coffee is cold with this going on in the world.

She noted that Russia has proposed creating "humanitarian corridors" to deliver aid to the separatists.

"The humanitarian situation needs addressing, but not by those who have caused it," she said.

Why would the West supply the Iraqis with dud, old, surplus Soviet ammunition, and supply themselves with fresh, high quality ammunition, if they cared that much about the embarrassment of the Iraqis being defeated? The Iraqis being defeated is just another reason that can be used for war. 'We helped them, trained them, supplied them, and they still couldn't manage - the only way to keep these regions stable is for us to be there'.

You don't need to create a group like this. It'll do that for you. Destabilise a country, destroy half its citizens' homes, put in leaders that many never voted for - people are going to be pissed off.

Add in a weakened defence force (both militarily and in terms of policing), halt development in infrastructure, and create a divide among the population, train guerilla armies in how to operate to avoid detection from the largest military power in the world (like a germ, if you don't disinfect properly, you're left with the most resistant strains of that germ) and then leave, and it's a recipe for things to start getting really fucked up.

Fear them? This is the group that Al Qaeda stopped supporting because they were 'too extreme'.

This is such an obvious story we're being told, it's almost as ridiculous as the story of why we needed to invade Iraq after 9/11.

End goal here is for the US to invade Syria. Just watch and see.

There is also some speculation that much of ISIS is comprised of troops we trained in Jordan to combat Syria and Assad, using primarily anti-tank weaponry.

It's the greatest business model of all time. We get to manufacture the weapons, give them to our soon to be enemies, then blow them up. All on tax-payer dime. Woot.
