I've personally heard out of Matt Cutts mouth at PubCon that they are considering lowering the SEO value of exact-match domains because they seem too powerful.
I never doubted the other poster's sincerity, just that of Matt Cutt's.
Because he works for the web-spam team and all.. it's in his best interest to mislead us..
or maybe not, he might just be nice enough to help us IM'ers make money off of Google.

Yeah props for sticking to it, staying motivated etc, but as already stated, there are easier ways to make $500/day. And you are underestimating the process of SEO; it's not a one time "buy profile links are forget" deal. You need fresh links. Factor that into your expenses.
Overall it is a downward spiral. The approach is too superficial. No hate. Your money is better spent on promoting direct sales sites or affiliating. There's an awesome thread somewhere around WF that stresses the importance of learning & becoming good at math- I suggest you read it.

good job, my philosophy, is if you're under 30 do what you want, cause you'll benefit from it either way, more so if you fail, you'll learn your lesson faster. and if you succeed, that's even better
Maybe you should read THIS thread first. The guy's plan was a success. Made a shedload compared to his investment. He owns his own Xrumer type of service so he doesnt have to buy shit. Even still, he sold his sites after a couple months of earnings so he doesnt have to worry about long term rankings. He also used EMD which pretty much gives him a first page ranking for at least one keyword.
Coming from someone who copied Red Bull I wouldn't worry about it.. (just breakin balls, no hate).
Anyway, I'm launching 1800 more sites at least so we'll see if I'll do $1.5k/day in March 2011 sometime.
Just acquired 41 AS accounts along with metabank debit cards to go with it.
