If I was desperately waiting for 3 months while my soldiers were dying, I'd probably say anything too.
I wouldn't be surprised if Obama wrangled this statement out of McChrystal in exchange for this move. The fact is, McChrystal said he needed 60,000 troops within the year. Obama's giving him half that in a longer timetable. You can't spin that no matter how many forced statements McChrystal makes.
Obama's decided he's a better general than McChrystal, and the result of this war will be placed at Obama's feet.

The 2nd war in Iraq had been planned since the end of the first one. Most of the same people running the first war ran the 2nd.
No one noticed or seemed to care that Pakistan was playing both sides in Afghanistan and also there's been selective news coverage in that region for a number of years.
"Coalition of the Willing" is a bunch of shit. If the US wants to start a war, we need to own it and not depend on people who never really liked us to begin with.
It doesn't matter what the strategy is now, we could send a planeload of face-tearing chimps over there and drop them in the mountains; every person in office could be in imminent danger of being replaced at the next election, but they won't. Your well put pro-Obama arguments were respectful and surprised me until you posted that video, proving you're a typical Obama fanboy, always resorting to playing the race card. There are plenty of educated people, black and white, who don't support Obama; especially people who enjoy freedom. It's as ignorant to stereotype Obama non-supporters as uneducated rednecks as it is for someone to actually base their dislike of him on the fact that he is black. I could post 1000 videos of uneducated black people who think Obama is going to pay their bills for them with government money so they don't have to work. Does that mean this population makes up the majority of Obama supporters? Probably not. There are certainly a lot more people who are just misguided hopers who can't see things objectively, and subconsciously choose to ignore blatant facts if those facts have any chance of depolarizing them from their far left fantasy world.

If you don't know what the fuck you're doing, you should fill your cabinet with people who do and not those who don't know the first thing about the real word outside of politics. These people are supposed to be your expert advisors! It's very fitting that the best solutions these people can come up with are to print money until inflation gets out of control, then simply start stealing it from the rich (raise taxes on them) because they are under some fucked up notion that rich people don't deserve to be treated fairly. Why steal money from the people who have made our country great, many starting from the same place as everyone else, so you can give it to people who have already proved they will squander every dime they touch?
If you support this administration's values, why do you accept higher payouts from the networks when you push mad leads on all those conv3rsions you get? Or are you being consistent with your principles and requesting that your affiliate manager lower your payouts instead and shift the extra funds to affiliates who work less hard so they can share in the fruits of your ass-busting labor?
