1 in 8 Americans Struggles With Hunger

yeah I just got a milk thing. I think its meant for infants and no one else. Calcium is great but the amount of mucus your body produces because of milk digestion is NASTY. Only animals in the world that drink milk after infancy are Hindus/Europeans and the cultures that they had large influences on. It's now considered such a part of our daily diet and health only because of incredibly aggressive campaigning by dairy companies(who are subsidized by the government) in the early growth of our country.

Then again i love cheese LOL hypocrite at work here

So tell me more - is it a "health" issue to drink a lot of milk? Does the excess mucus hurt you? Just curious - don't think my kids would like me taking it away from them since it's mostly what they drink.

Better than kook-aid, soda, or juice that's for sure - but I've never run into anyone having a "milk thing" :) I don't drink it much - just don't like it much, but when I do I don't notice a difference.

Nothing personal, but you cannot be more wrong about the dairy industry. Shitloads of health benefits from milk, for people of all ages! Tell me one industry that doesn't aggressively campaign.

Because stupid people enjoy breeding more than anyone else. Work at Walmart and want kids? No problem, go have 10 kids and let the government pay for it all. America FTW.

Wow, you are one dumb fucking cunt. How do you explain to a 5 and 7 year old that the home they've lived in since birth and the fridge with all the food is now some other family's. Why?

Because dad lost his job due to industry downturn and mom's salary doesn't come close paying the bills.

People go from rags to riches, and back, all the time. To say the poor are breeding for gov't bennies is just fucking stupid.

For all the others who think poverty and hunger are somehow explainable to your dumb little 20-year-old know-nothing minds, take a peek:

Good thing we aren't talking about beef. Those fags in Texas will sue a nigga for badmouthing beef.

They sued Oprah, probably why the fat mancow decided to go after Acai pushers! lol

Go spend 10 minutes in front of one of those Grand Asian Buffets. If you watch the parking lot, you'll see that at least 1 in 8 struggle with just getting out of the car.

Milk = $116
Bread = $57
Juice = $59

Yes we go through a half gallon of milk a day, a loaf of bread, and half a thing of juice daily. Average meal in my house is at least 40 dollars. Hell hamburger helper is 2 packages plus 2 pounds of hamburger. Chicken breasts can cost 30 bucks for one meal if you don't catch them on sale.

Stop buying organic and you'll cut that shit into more than half. If you get the standard shit then what you will be paying is:

Milk = $37.50
Bread = $35
Juice = Don't really know - but just get your shit at Costco and it'll be pretty cheap

I don't buy organic - milk is 3.85, bread is 1.99 a loaf (cheap shit even). Go through a loaf and a milk every day....sometimes more if they don't get lunch at school, etc...

I'm not complaining btw - just using it as an example for the dumb asses in this thread who have never supported a family to show that it adds up.

Same here, milk varies between $3.50 and $4, and bread (multigrain good stuff) is $3.50ish.

We do a loaf every 2 days and .75 gallons a day! Boys are only 3 and 4, can't wait until teenage years, god help me.

It's a pretty serious thing right now - I helped form a food bank a few years ago and still spend a lot of my time and money there.

The people coming in for help aren't wellfare folks - they are normal people who have jobs, etc...

When your taxes go up, your utilities go up, your food costs go up, your house payment goes up, your gas goes up, etc... somethings got to give. When you lose your job and get a new one earning half as much or your stuck doing part time work and you still have to feed your family food is nuts. All of our state employees have had their pay reduced, teachers are being forced to take unpaid days off, etc....

I've got a family of 6 - so I'm a good example.

Monthly expenses (food related that we buy every day)

Milk = $116
Bread = $57

If I had a "normal" job and lost it and started earning half as much I'd be at the food bank too.

Most food banks operate year round but only get massive help at holidays. If you think it's wrong for americans to be hungry you've got a few choices.

1.) Donate money to food banks (many local churches have them).

2.) Donate food to the food banks year round.

3.) Get politically involved because this isn't going to get better as wages keep dropping.

1) stop breeding please 2) stop eating like shit

My dad was a milk diet like your kids when he was younger. He has had several heart attacks as well as surgery because of it.

I support a family. I send my parents on cruises to the Caribbean and maintain their Spanish villa. I pay my brother to look after a joke business just to keep him happy. I know the struggle, bruvs.

But milk from other animals isn't the best thing for you. There is a reason Nature weans us from our moms tit. It does not mean we should jump back onto another animals. Shit, drinking its blood is better for us. See an episode of BBC's Tribe to see what I mean.

As for the rest of the whining, work shadier... or harder... a bit of the both, I think.

Would have been nice if your mother had followed your advice :)

And we eat rather healthy, but thank you for your concern.

On another note I made enough last year to donate more than 40k to charity and take care of my brood. Not having more - but I'm certainly capable of supporting more if I wanted.

That... if true... is absolutely amazing. There is nothing in this world I would love to do at this time in my life than to donate such a sum to a charity. Wow... now taking that you are not a non-accomplishing underachieving lying two-faced lonely loser fat sack-of-shit who decides to post false information on the internet to appease his complete of lack self-esteem... taking that you are not someone like that... I'd love to learn more from you to be able to one day donate such a sum to my favorite charity.

PM me plz.

I will not get into a flaming match with you because I know you are WF's No.1 keyboard jockey and knowing exactly where you live, what you look like, what you do, and probably how little you earn etc... I just have to say, that link is poor.

Yeah, the way I see it is that if you support the free market and limited government, you're either a philanthropist to the greatest extent that you are able or you're a dickhead.

I've been a little bit too much a dickhead lately so I need to get on that.

LOL @ you

It was an example of what it costs to feed a family of 6 and how hard that would be if your situation changed - I was going with "cheap" because you can't get much cheaper than hamburger helper.

Anyway - this thread is turning into a flame war - and the fact is there is a hunger issue in the U.S. American's are generous to other nations, disasters, etc.. but for the most part ignore the food banks other than holidays.

Funny that folks will donate a turkey on Christmas -- and think that they are making a difference. Even if 80 percent of that 1 in 8 are wellfare abusers or frauds - there is still the 2 in 10 that is struggling for valid reasons.

I only posted my examples here to show the younger guys what it really costs to feed a family.... certainly not to hear some dumb ass tell me to stop breeding and eat healthier :) I spend a lot of time helping folks struggling through this -- and attitudes like this makes it harder.

Imagine working 2 jobs, and still wondering where you are going to get the next meal for your kids.... or yourself if you can't get out of your mortgage and don't want to be a deadbeat defaulter.

Many of you guys are young and have no clue, haven't lived through a recession, supported a family, or done much beyond (hopefully) taking care of yourself.

90% of these guys are basement-dwelling sock fucking virgins, like my new friend above.

These guys couldn't budget for a family simply because starting a family would require them fucking a vagina that didn't have a "fleshlight" label on it.

Hunger is a real issue, especially for kids in America, anyone who diminishes that fact is really going to hate it when karma catches up to them.

No need to PM you.

Takes just a few steps.

Step one: Stop being a dumb ass and do/learn something. In my case I learned enough to program and create my own sites. Then I learned seo, ranking, etc... Ohh yeah, you should probably also learn some other skills like how to talk to people, how to sell, how to be professional, how not to be a dumb ass.

Step two: Do it for about half as long as you've probably been alive so far. Get good at it. Get clients. Have them pay you. Hire others to do most of the work at your direction.

Step three: Now that you have free time and more money you can even start your own charities, get a dog, and maybe if someone is dumb enough to sleep with you spent extra time with your kids while dumb asses in forums expect you to give them years of experience in a forum p.m.
