what gives? how do make real money

Start by getting your head out of the Interwebz and into commerce itself.

Personally I own about five different offers and just use the SEO biz to generate guaranteed money. Yet, the SEO biz pays for all of my personal bills and THEN some.

You need to get off the computer and get a sales job or three.

Study marketing while you're doing it and spend the time making your own SEO offer to complement your existing service offering.

I could go out right now and close two deals right now if I wanted to by sun down.

You're just not knowledgeable enough yet. The money's out there, you just need to learn how to grab it.

maybe i should message you my phone number so we can rap

Have you had a "good day" in AM? What I mean by that is, have you had a $100 profit day? Have you had a day where you profited and said to yourself "fuck that was awesome, I need to keep grinding so that I can double that per day"?

To me, it doesn't appear that you have. Until you hit that type of day, you most likely won't be motivated and will always think that you're the guy who'll be driving the Hyundai. Don't blow $1000 to see if something works and making nothing back, set smaller, incremental budgets dependant on your ROI. Split test more. Start optimizing when you start seeing the slightest bit of ROI.

You already have the "I've failed and there's nothing I can do about it" attitude, but you'll never get anywhere till you turn what's inside your head around.

all good points...i don't think i'm there as far as "ther'es nothing i can do about it" ...i know whatever my calling is...it's out there. my son keeps me driving, i'd mop floors at mcdonalds if i had to for him. it's what gets me up early and working till the wee hours of the nite. i do think it's my knowledge...it's more like...'this is what i know..this is what i'm good at'...but if given the opportunity i'm sure i can progress in whatever that may be.

i've never had a large profitable day in am. i've had $200-$300 days but that was short lived due to the offer, where i placed my money etc...all a learning curve and i learned but like we all know in here...it's not just knowledge that'll get you by...i speak with a guy in here or have in the past daily, on what it takes to have a good landing page, the right place to market and when etc etc etc...but obviously from my experience, there's more to it then just that. how can the same offer, the right landing page, the right social platform work for him but not for me? perhaps i caught it on the downside.

i've been to conventions, seminars etc...learned you can spend $10-$20 to figure out if a campaign will be successful or not pending where you're advertising...been thru it...i don't look at myself as a failure because i didn't bank from what i've learned...just took that as bad timing, don't have the funds to keep dishing campaigns etc etc....

got a friend who was jobless. got hooked up with a company in korea to be a sales rep out here in the states...learned the product in a day, got connected and now he's making 6 figures easily with contracts with office depot, staples and costco and soon, schools from elementary to universities.

luck.

Eventually something else would have come along where your friend blew it up in the same manner. He obviously had the drive, knowledge and salesmanship to get huge companies like office depot and staples to carry a product. The only lucky part of that situation was him finding the product sooner than later.

Let me run down a list of reasons you're a failure

You have a bad attitude
You label yourself SEO King and yet admit to making no money
You think money comes to you from luck and not hard work
You tend to blame your problems on external forces instead of taking personal responsibility

Work on those things and perhaps you'll turn it around. Otherwise go get a job.

that was a bit haste.

i've been in the web industry for so long...affiliate marketing for a few years. i just don't know what gives? why is it that some people just get the lucky breaks and they bank ...but others like myself, work in front of computer day and nite, daily and just break even every month.

no matter if it's building sites, working on seo or affiliate marketing...i'm not rich. i don't bank 6 figures. wtf gives? why do assholes get the break, land a shitty sales job and make 3 times what i do? wtf is wrong with this country right now?

we live in the land of opportunity yet, we get reemed by the government, fucking meter officers ticketing you for being 1 minute past the limit. everything in our world is set up to fuck you in the ass and you have to either be extremely lucky to know the right people at the right time or you're fucked.

this is what i don't get. i've been doing this for too long to see lots of peeps make tons of cash, come and go and here i am, making risks from time to time but failing. how the fuck am i going to make 6 figures being a web developer, seo freak and an affiliate marketer which is the most bogus way of making a living.

i know there are some successful people in here...but i know the vast majority don't make shit.

personally i think this country is fucked and we're all just scraping and suffering to just make ends meet. if i can go back in the day and realize what life was really about (money, family etc) then i wouldn't have surfed 3 times a day and quit college. but i've done enough to support my son and be able to live. but there's more to it...why just work for a check and pay the bills and just have enough for a weekend trip? i want to travel, have enough money for a house, go anywhere i want, do whatever and whenever i want. what the fuck gives?

Now if you took this rant, continued on about the value that "Gold Coins/Collodial Silver/Survival Seed Banks/Gun Training/Investment Newsletters/any other scam/or just plain old biz-opps/etc" will bring, then target it to old white fucks who sit around bitching about the government (newsmax.com, infowars.com, freerepublic.com, etc) ; you just might bank a little cash.

@OP, if you won't take responsibility for your success and want to blame luck, you are screwed from the start, because based on your sob story, not only are you getting outworked, outsmarted and outhustled, you are also really fucking unlucky.

sorry to break it to you but he's right. actually, you're one lucky motherfucker since you got way too much advise and too less flaming for this thread.

that was a bit haste.

I don't think it was.

But here's what I've gathered.

You need to get back to the basics. Like pro basketball players practice shooting free throws all day or a pro baseball player hits 1000 balls a day.

Stick to the fundamentals.

I think you have some talent with SEO so just focus on that; do what you're already good at.

Monetize with simple shit. Forget about limited-lifespan offers for now.

-Even though people laugh at Adsense it pays all my expenses right now and then some. Even a retard with one arm could earn with Adsense, just slap it up there above the fold.

-EPN has been the easiest and fastest way to good $$ for me online. As long as you can get in their program.

-Amazon sucks because of their 24hour cookie but I hate messing with a million individual merchants.. I'm a simple guy and I just want something I can set and forget so its a tradeoff. Not as profitable as EPN but good to diversify yourself. A shit load of products. Trusted merchant, good conversions.

Strategy:

Build a site about a product.
Get/Write unique content about relevant keywords.
Every page should have a call to action.
SEO the shit out of your pages.
Profit.

I don't know what you're doing, but don't get too creative. Don't tackle too many projects at once.

And focus.

JUST FOCUS ON THE SIMPLE FORMULA

You talk a lot about your failed projects. If you stick to this simple formula even your failed projects make money. Basically, there is no such thing as a failed project -- everything earns.

Now put your nose to the grindstone for a year and thank me on July 12th, 2011.

Remember the top reasons people fail online:

-Having a new pet project every week.
-Giving up.
-Learning to much, not enough action.
-Getting sidetracked by stupid shit.
-Not focusing and putting in the work needed to earn. (like what I'm doing now)

Good luck bros
