So Starcraft 2 is Ugly

Been playing a week or so now and I have to say the art is fucking murdering me. Everything is either brown or purple. Plus all the units and buildings look identical.

The zerg are basically vomit with insect parts. See below.

I agree. While I enjoy the gameplay, the graphics did work better in Starcraft 1 for some reason.

Kinda like how Monkey island 3 was the best looking one as a cartoon, the 3D versions look shit.
 
star craft 1 worked so great because it was so dark and gloomy. I hate blizzard now for what they are doing to their games...

"hey world of warcraft was a hit lets model our other games around it. Lets make all our hit games look like cartoons now!"

they are doing the same thing to diablo 3.
 
The game needs for Zombies, and less bugs. I would suggest a fun game like Left For Dead 2.

All you D-bags getting a hard on for a sequel for a game that came out forever ago are only going to get disappointed when it doesn't live up to the hype.

Congrats, get fucked, and move on.
 
The more I play SC2 the more I hate it. Holy fuck this game is tedious. They have all these stupid little mechanics to speed up resource gathering/production that you have to hit every 20 seconds.

It's like they're trying to make it boring.
 
I'll listen to your criticism if they don't sell 10 million copies.
Or if you give me your beta key :D

its not boring it gives u somethin to do while ur playing
 
Blizzard changes so many things from BETA to Live version in all their games it's ridiculous. Take a look at WoW for example. They have a PTR (public test realm) for every new patch - and that's like the sandbox they play in changing certain aspects of the game and continually tweaking them until they go live.

I'm sure the graphics engine isn't fully polished yet. They're most likely dealing with gameplay/balance/bug issues first then they'll go back in and detail it. Which is exactly the right way to do it.
