NEW Facebook Ads

Umm can anyone else not sort the ads by clicks, impressions, or amount spent? Only ctr, cpc and cpm seems to work for me.

Newbie facebook question:

I've switched a campaign to CPM, it's running alright (CTR 0.3%, 100 clicks per day, small demographic of 50k). Average CPM is $0.18, my bid is $0.20 (was $0.50).

Will CPM drop automatically over time as your campaign builds credibility/history like in AdWords?

Thanks!

Nope. All that matters is the CTR. You're going to need a higher CTR if you want to get your CPM average lower. What you can do though is run the campaign at 18c and then every few days drop it by 1/2c; traffic should come just as strong.

:costumed-smiley-087 This should work, good luck bros

Hi Shaun,

Thanks for writing in, we certainly appreciate your efforts to remain compliant with our guidelines. We do not allow location (city or state) to be called out in the ad text. This is in addition to personal user attributes such as gender and age.

Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for contacting Facebook,

Sorting doesn't work for me either, kind of annoying. Positive note, I don't think I have had a single ad declined since last week.

fucking retards manage to keep disapproving 25% of my ads ruining every test I setup. I made 300 ads last night for nothing..

The new "pricing feature" is just facebook's lame attempt of forcing newb advertisers to pay for ads at their "recommended bid price" ..aka 60cent-2$/click, and in the process, jacking up the bids mad high.

Facebook's playin dirty..

already been effecting cpcs it appears

Facebook seems to have changed the "Create an Ad" page. Nothing new, just positioned things differently. What's up with these useless updates? All it's doing is breaking my fbadmanger.

reinstall it if it isn't working..

latest version he sent was on feb 10.. and works fine on firefox..

Make sure you've upgraded to the latest version of Firefox. was having problems not getting past the create ad page and upgrading FF and reinstalling FBAdmanager solved it.

That typically means your CTR is too low in comparison to others for the same demographics.

It frustrates me too. I launch one ad and get thousands of dollars a day in profit, over the next 2-3 days it slowly drops lower and lower in CTR till it isnt profitable. I go and launch multiple new images and although they are profitable and even higher bid I just cant get any volume. It almost always, for me at least, has to do with the CTR.

I find if I am already paying the top end of Facebook's CPM suggestion the only way to get any more substantial traffic is to increase my ads CTR. After doing that I sometimes see my traffic jump 5-10X. Not always easy to do, but when it works, it works well.

It isnt simply the CPM that Facebook cares about, it is also the ads CTR. Which makes sense as they want a good user experience.

Hey thanks for your very complete answer, really appreciate it.

On my side, my big problem now is that I don't get traffic, CTR is consistent, conversions too but where are my views? I don't know. Hey, I'm just gonna create more ads but I can't wait to get a consistent campaign running!
