new to the affiliate side, thought i'd give it a go...so if i'm talkin like a noob, its cuz i am.. :P

right now, i've created the template of my site which is basically a shopping cart system resembling a mini mall, categorized into different sections..etc.. my site almost has the same idea as monstermarketplace.com, minus the part where merchants can upload their store...at the momment, i am the one filling up my store with products from affiliate merchants

the site is growing quickly and can get pretty big.., in the last 2 hours i've entered about 4000 products,

i just want to know if the route im taking is a smart approach in affiliate marketing...or should i start off small and just promote 1 product?

any suggestions on how to market and advertise the site?

would you pick a particular product and put out ADs for that? ..or put out ADS for the site as a whole?....or both?! anyone have similar experience in this and got positive results?

i feel affiliate marketing is very very hard to make money.....

just tried it for four days... spent $50 and convert only $5......

if i have spent the same time and energy on arbitrage i could have made at least $100 from it...

maybe i should stick to arbitrage....

well slap my ass and call me sushi! eye- if you are adding the products with datafeeds you need to make the pages unique if you want organic traffic. otherwise you will get into the google sups. and get no organic traffic. I use datafeeds for ppc stuff. I can write a great ad and target a category like laptops use dynamic keyword insertion and good buy keywords. Datafeeds straight for organic search is a waist of effort

There's tons of money to be made in affiliate marketing. But as with anything that can make you lots of money - it takes dedication, motivation, and a non-quitter attitude.

hey sushi..... *SLAP!* :P

i guess i gotta think over my game-plan on this..... i think i'll ppc some products with unique content....becuase there's no way that imma be able to provide unique content for 4000+ products......maybe once traffic goes to those slected products it might make users search around the site more....

if anyone has any tips orr tricks in getting unique content into each product i'm all ears....at the momment i'm just geting datafeed .csv's from the affiliate merchants..

Can you share some tips on entering affiliate marketing ...
I tried it several times but no result at all.

I found that if i target a boarder keyword such as 'canon digital camera xxxx' (the model number) then i can have some clicks but no sales

however if i target a narrower keyword such as 'buy canon digital camera xxxx', i could get no clicks even though i bid to 2nd place.....

totally lost with affiliate marketing
