Out with some friends when they all started bitching about how much their bosses sucked. Its times like that, that make being self employed worth the while. I laughed, they didn't think it was funny. I've been reading for a while, so I figure I might as well try and add something to the forum and plus I just wanted some people to laugh with me.

PS- I also saw a serious lack of black people, so Drew... now there are two of us.:rainfro: And one of them is rockin the Afro.
 


damnit, I thought I was an exclusive for a while...

I had a job at a coffee roasting company for about 2 months during the summer. My boss was nice, but packing and shipping coffee for 6+ hours sucked.

Good to see another brother sticking it to the man and working for himself.
 
Welcome to WF Enigma :) Glad you're here. What all do you have your hands in that defines your self employment?
 
Proud to have never held a 'normal job' and making far more than most those with so called normal jobs. So kudos to me and you guys as well.

I think I'm in the same boat as pretty much everyone else. Personal websites, then some design work, then something called adsense. And now I see the rabbit hole goes further.

Not really but you just dont run into alot of black people that do what we do.

But back to the original topic, I've been self employed for about three years mainly because I didnt want to deal with having a boss. It's a little awkward when your friends look at you pissed because they had a bad day at work.
 
Congrats to you guys. I envy you. I'm in the group of people you like to laugh at, hoping to make it to the other side of the playground where the cool kids point at all the losers and laugh.

In case you all didn't know I'm black as well and I've been here longer than the noob :)

Also I was born and raised in Harlem NYC so that makes me blacker than all of you.... even though I'm light skinded :yin-yang:

Good to know I have a few people I can call my niggas without people getting all offended.
 
Hopefully I will be self employed next year. My dad and I are going to start a gravel spreading business, which means I would move back to my hometown=lower cost of living, and more time to fry my eyes on the computer and make more money. woot woot.

I am white and from Germany so that makes me whiter than all you wanabe white guys who are not!

I was born in Landstuhl and raised in Leimen, I live in Austin TEXAS!

I think the war in Irak should be expanded to Iran and all points in between! I would not live in Germany again for 1 billion dollars, crazy bastards!
