NEW Facebook Ads

Exciting shit, about time FB loosened up their reg's a bit. Any reps wanna hit me up I'll probably earn ya some decent commission.

Damn - I been stuck at $350 for 2 months now. It was going up continuously, but hasn't since. Been spending at least $300/day...

You have to hit your limit 3 days in a row for it to get increased automatically, and then it only goes up in the standard increments.

Contact a rep, they're the only ones that can take your account from $250/day to $5000/day.

anyone noticing that the daily limit is only half what it should be?

basically my limit is $5000 but it basically stops at $2500...when I was at $3000 it would stop at $1500...anyone else get that?

What's with the burst of newbie posts on this forum? Urgh.

I felt exactly the same way 5 seconds prior to hitting the reply button. Then I heard a little green voice in my head, "Patience young padawan". Really.

Ok, for all the noobs on facebook ads, whining about ctr etc.
Facebook is a great system to ABUSE. It has no Quality Score, no landing page score, no slaps, no nothing. Its pure, no BS PPC.
As you have already read, the system needs to give you an initial burst of impressions in order to weigh your ad. That "first impression" will severely judge the future of your ad.

FACEBOOK HINT WARNING: Since ctr is all that we strive for, make the first ad targetted at a tight demographic, as tight as possible. Since the ad should be optimal for that target group (if its not, then you suck) it should get a great ctr. That means a lot of points on the facebook "QS". What I call an optimal ctr is between 1% and 4%. (yes, those are whole percentile points, not fractions. For purrsent).
Then, once your ad is up and running (remember to bid high, or you will trip your own efforts here) click the little button thingie next to the ad, click create a similar ad, broaden the demographic, and hit submit.

BOOK HINT WARNING: Google up "how to make a killer ad copy", and buy the paper book. Yes, the ones made of trees. Amazon.com: how to make killer ad copy

@glowleaf - great tips thanks +rep

are you saying ctr affects every ad in a campaign, ads are not "standalone"? or to be more clear one bad ad in a campaign with low ctr can adversely affect the others?

scratch that i understand what you mean now. i'm such a noob at this lol. i've spent so much time seeing how risky an ad i can get approved i didn't realise you can copy ads! guess i need to spend more time with the interface.
