NEW Facebook Ads

im just still trying to understand the idiots that surf facebook..

50 fuckin clicks on an ad about requesting more college information, and not one prick filled out the tiny form. why the hell did you click on it?!

49 of those clicks are WF and DP members ripping off your LP and using free FB ad credits on a bogus acct to duplicate your ad, haha

How do you know if a network is scrubbing?
I got 217 targeted clicks to a very simply email submit and only seemed to get 13 conversions..
still about 6% but not enough..

Also, what are the odds of propser202 tracking say 30 clicks at one time and at the same time Hydra or similar is only showing like 22 clicks? What is going on there?

Benji: Yes... We do do that. We also like to tour the countryside in sequined gowns in a bus. It's called "fun". We also toss dwarves, but that's just a sexual thing.

Vahsi: You're obviously targetting poor people. I've not been making a killing, but I have definitely been paying for a good night out every weekend on local traffic.

Narsticle: Thanks to facebook ads, I've found satisfaction can be the death of desire :P

Xentech: Those damn abos should pack up and go back to where they came from... or something!

Hannah: Melbourne's getting more multi cutural by the second. We're importing black people now. They're Africans, without being American. It's confusing for some.
(actually, I do love seeing PC people get a beat down for calling someone an "African-American" when they've got no African lineage.)

Ahh, sarcastic racism is kinda fun!

So I found an email submit and a demographic that will convert at around 20% consistently in my testing, the problem is the minimum CPC to drive those clicks is costing more than the 20% makes...

I've tried playing around with different ads/headlines/photos and I can constantly get the ad to perform the same but I cant get the price lower than like 30 to 40 cents per click. Nothing I do is getting a higher CTR and as far as I can tell my ads are much better than what I'm competing with.

It could make money if I could get the conversions above 20% but I can't seem to break that. Took me a few days to find a sweet spot for this one.

So I tried CPM but they dump so much traffic at once and the CTR is low for all ads across the board, I end up spending identical amounts of money.

I suppose I need to try a higher priced offer for the demo?

As I mentioned two posts above, another ad is converting lower at around 6% and it feels like I could be being scrubbed.. I dont know?

I've been facing a similar problem. I've been running an e-mail submit that pays $1.40 and converts 18%, which is a 25 cent epc, but I get 20-22 cent clicks making it not worth it. So today I've been trying to strengthen my targetting and I've been getting slightly cheaper clicks but my conversion rate has dropped below 10% making it even worse (Scrub-tastic)

Have you tried the ads with different demographics as well?

Well no, I kind of did a little research before hand and started with one, tweaked it to this point, but have tried all sorts of things to get cheaper clicks.

For example, same demo but interests in random keywords (not really random - but hopefully less popular keywords for advertising and costs) Same results..

I'm not seeing anything at less than .30-.44+ cents per click on any niche/demographic/target market.

Ask your AM for a better payout on the offer. Normally you can get an extra 25-50 cents if you have a good relationship.

Yeah, when I was down there (like a year ago) it was pretty cool, very multicultural but the black thing must be recent, there were barely any there when I went... Brisbane is still pretty whitey-filled. A fair few asians, but that's really it.

Coming from Vancouver though, where I think white people are now officially a minority, Brisbane just seems so much less multicultural, though I like the asians around here. They're really nice!

First of all, I was being nationalistic, not racist. If I made fun of any Asians, African-Americans, Jews or even Arabs, I would be racist. But when I make fun of the French, the English, Americans or even the Belgians, I'm being nationalistic. Get the derogatory labels right at least.

Secondly, I've drunk with French, English, Belgians, Germans, Italians, Israelis, Chinese, Japanese, Norwegians, Finns, Americans, Aussies and Kiwis. And trust me, the Aussies drink the most beer. They can drink a LOT of beer. Possibly only a Russian could out drink an Aussie.

Thirdly, it's been 24 hours and no AM has yet PM'ed me with a hot email submit offer that's not getting worked over with a wire brush. Bugger.

Hahahahah you're so fucking dumb.

Look up the definition of "nationalistic". Here's a hint: yours is WAY off.

Try to split test age groups. Like 18 - 25, 25 - 30, 30 - 40 etc. You might find age group with higher CTR then the rest. Higher CTR will then allow you to bid less. I pay about 0.15/click and I direct this traffic to an email submit offer. My problem is low CR. Even with 0.15 clicks I barely make any profit.

Have tried everything. The problem is they dump that initial surge and if you get nothing, the impressions dry up.

The other problem is the approval process while I now have a 5k spending limit and more is being approved, the fact that ads still take 5-6-7+ hours to be approved is a joke.

I wouldn't mind the approval process if things were converting. I feel like the only thing that would convert are email submits but you can't find a decent one that pays any higher than $2. Figuring .30/click (which is probably low) you need to convert 15% to break even. Probably not happening. And even if you make it to 20% you're still not making much..

I'm trying to find more offers than can be really targeted but even then, I don't think any of these idiots would convert..

you need a better CTR if your paying 30 cents.

That's precisely the problem.
The CTR is determined by the initial rush of traffic they deliver.

I don't know many people getting a CTR of over .30 but maybe I'm mistaken.

The cost of bidding, usually is suggested when creating the ad. Even if you try and bid lower and essentially assuming your ads will perform better than others.... they usually won't deliver enough at that point anyways.

Maybe I'm missing something here or going about this all wrong?

Not sure.
