I usually user prosper to strip the referer, but ive been getting alot of keywords showing up as [no keyword]. So i just wanted to track adgroups by subid.
Anyone know how i can do a phpheader redirect and strip the referer.
I heard redirecting through another domain, doesnt always do it.

Yep go with https, it's effective and ssl certs are cheap these days.

I know I visit this board too much when I thought the thread was going to be about finding the best clubs in town. Get paid per lead for bringing in customers...

header (php) redirs pass the ref. use meta like tob said, or javascript... or both. roughly 10% of browsers will still pass the url of the page the meta/js redir is on though. that's where the 2nd domain comes in... so that the ref that they do see will have no ties to the originating traffic source.

I'm going to be tweaking that article soon. There's a little data which is inconsistent in different FF versions. Damnable tweaks.
In a pinch also, https is reliable.

Cool article shady, i just checked out your new one on the google borg. Scary as shit. Ive been thinking the same thing, that google is just waiting for the right time to dominate affiliate marketing space on its own and take our jobs.

Different browsers behave differently with javascript and meta redirects. If it's important to you, make sure you test. Like xmcp123 and ayzo said above, go with SSL, as it's in the spec for browsers not to send the REFERER when leaving a secure site.. but again testing is key as this is browser dependent.

Is there a way to achieve this effect, but with images? I cannot find a way to hide the referrer of an image.

Has anyone had any bad experiences related to this?
As in people stealing your stuff (not BH traffic)? I'm starting to make some good cash now, started hiding the referrer yesterday.
