I have two credit cards in my FB advertising account. The primary one is a debit card with not enough funds to cover the latest charge. Instead of using the second card, they removed both credit cards and paused all my ads, until I pay the charge. Now I can't add my two credit cards again, because of processing errors. Anyone else had this happen?

Adding cards to fb can usually be a bitch. Try using a different browser (sometimes works for me for some reason) or emailing them.

Thanks for your reply.
I tried it in IE, but am still getting this error:
Unable to add credit card. Please correct the following problems:
  • Sorry, we were unable to process your order at this time.

I'll keep trying. I have emailed them yesterday, no reply yet.

E-mail support. That's the only fix. This happened to me a month ago and it took a week to fix.

I'm not sure if anyone is going to disclose this, but for those who are promoting skin-related products: what is your approximate conversion ratio through Facebook's audience? I've sent some 60 clicks to a 'stretch marks' cream, with still no sign of conversions. Perhaps it's the offer's landing page, or the conversions for these products are just generally horrendous.

60 clicks is very little to compare for conversions. Some products I have had 7 conversions for 100 clicks and sometimes it goes 200 clicks with out a sale. So sometimes its hit and miss.

Is Facebook doing pre-authorizations now? I had my gf sign up for an account to exploit the coupon codes, and now there is a $50 charge "pending" on her card. I've never had anything like that happen, they usually just bill me for what I spend. I guess a lot of people must be doing the same thing with coupon codes. She spent less than $10 (with a $150 credit) in clicks.

Too bad they're not. I'm expecting the worst.

Higher CTR = More Clicks = More Money = Good For Facebook

but we are talking about facebook... they are probably going to put our ads in the footer and then hope we pay 10bucks a click

The chrage is just to check the card. They'll refund it.

Is anyone else having trouble consistantly browsing the site? Every other page is down for me. This transition to the new design isnt going that smoothly.

they just sent out an email on the new placement of the ads

Hi,

Thanks for advertising with Facebook. You may have already heard
that Facebook is about to get a new look aimed at making user
profiles simpler and more relevant. You can read more overall about
the new design here http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/press/releases.php?p=47448,
but let's also take a deeper look into what the new design means for you.

While the content on the site will remain the same, the new design
will shift the placement of ads on the site. Advertisers won't need
to make any changes to the ads they already have created in order
for them to appear on the new site design. The look of the ads will
remain the same, but they will be located in a different part of the page.

The most basic change that you'll notice is that ads will now appear
on the right side of Facebook pages instead of on the left. The new
placement integrates the ads into the new site design in a meaningful
way. As many as two ads may show at one time on any given page.

In addition to these changes, you will also see a new ad on the home
page. This new ad is located just to the right of the News Feed, and
will initially run a limited set of advertisers. As this space continues
to evolve and improve, we'll provide more details.

If you have questions about your advertising or how it might be affected
by the new design, please visit the Help Center at http://www.facebook.com/adshelp
or contact our team using the form located here: http://www.facebook.com/adscontact

As always, we welcome any feedback you might have to help us make
our advertising products as effective and useful as possible.

Enjoy the new design!

Sincerely,
The Facebook Ads Team
