Wasn't advertising adult dating.. had I been, I definitely would not have requested a spending limit increase. :)

I wish I had such luck, but it never happens to me. :xomunch:

I had such luck, but it was only temporary. They ended up charging me the missed amount a few days later :(

damn, well I just requested an increase, so I have my fingers crossed nothing too bad happens with my account.

Bad move, facebook is beyond paranoid about credit card fraud and this makes you look like you want a high limit so you can jack them for clicks. If they call you pickup asap and fax them copies of whatever they want.

my increase just went through fine! woot!

yes, I think adult friend finder is considered adult dating.

facebook is paranoid????? sounds like you are dude, any legit advertiser has never had a problem

I never said legit advertisers would have a problem with this but if you ask facebook to bill you every $2,000 instead of every $300 this usually qualifies as "suspicious activity", at least in their employee handbook. The worst thing that could happen is they do a review of all your stuff and find and ad or landing page they don't like and nuke it. It might not sound like a big deal but if you have a campaign that is doing good the last thing you want is for facebook to touch it. All I'm saying that it's better for the daily spending limit to increase "naturally" the way facebook's billing system is designed to do.

I'll admit that saying facebook is "paranoid" was going too far, it isn't really their fault it's just the standard billing procedure that nearly all merchant banks require businesses to do if they want to do post-pay billing for transactions where the physical card isn't present.

My buddy got owned:

Your account has been disabled. All of your ads have been stopped and should not be run again on the site under any circumstances. Generally, we disable an account if too many of its ads violate our Terms of Use or Advertising Guidelines. Unfortunately we cannot provide you with the specific violations that have been deemed abusive. Please review our Terms of Use and Advertising Guidelines if you have further questions.

So like, whats the consensus here? Is requesting a manual spending limit increase beyond $1000 risky? Does that basically guarantee a hardcore review of all of your ads? So should you only request the increase if you're confident the ads are "legit"? How about opening another account rather than requesting the manual increase? Questions.. questions..

Today they are making up for the other day when Facebook undercharged everyone. My balance today is my spend limit + the amount they forgot to bill me for on 5/30.

;)

well with in 24 hours they fixed my cc issue and now today my outstanding balance is double what it should be...

So do they go through a thorough review of your account upon requests for manual increase?
