I agree with it being easy but it's still pretty time consuming for me.. Mostly because I'm a real perfectionist when it comes to writing ads. I probably spend more time rewording an ad than you do making entire campaigns lol.

Should become more fluid with repetition hopefully.. My entire weekend & all of next week is going to be dedicated to this. Should be fun
 


i found an dating offer converting 1:5
run it four couple of days on 1:5
then yesterday 1:6
and today is 1:10
is this how things are going on fb?
or has the offer ran out of it's potential :anon.sml:

Yep, I sure as fuck did. It was fucking stupid too. I had something converting at like 10-15% at about .18 CPC for a decent payout. I was in a rush to get out of the house to go meet some people.

Wasn't paying attention and scaled the wrong campaign. Got home and spent the rest of the night trying to make it back.

As time goes by your pool of target audience becomes saturated with people who've already signed up for the offer. In any case you're using too short a timeframe to judge how good your offer is converting. Personally I'd give it a couple of weeks at least to gauge the conversion potential of an offer.
 
Did anyone else just stop getting impressions? My ads still have the green play sign, and are at the exact same everything, i'm just not getting impressions.
 
I've been having a weird problem, I have some ads that get a ton of traffic, and are my main ads, well when I have those ads running, pretty much all of my other ads get no traffic/impressions. I even made new ads in the same campaign as those ads but they still get hardly any traffic until I pause my main ads. It's pretty weird, and annoying.

...yup, the same story here :anon.sml:...i'm about to give up there! Been testing campaings, etc. and hardly ever converts. crap, this should been the simpliest thing to accomplish and yet I can't get it right...
 
WTF!

ip address 75.66.75.249 has been clicking on my ad 20 times! how do i stop this bastard? He did it in the morning and he's doing it again. I emailed facebook but they havent responded yet...

lol, maybe he bookmarked the link.

If you're using your own landing page or redirect, pop up a special download page telling him he won a special boobies screensaver, if he downloads and installs it you fuck up his computer with the virus you attached to the screensaver.

Well I've started doing FB again, making sure I follow the rules to the extreme, and I've got to be honest they've made real strides in improving the whole process, but some stuff is still f'd.

I've been trying to get a dating ad copy approved and I can't for the life of me find the problem. The picture is just a cute girls face, basically says "Dating Site", and the remainder of the ad is just easy text. Sigh...whatever.

That said, I've gotten other ads approved for my more "legit" sites. Its funny I run a couple "real" websites and the CTR is such junk, I can't even advertise usefull products/services lol :P

Whats a reasonable CTR, are some of you dating guys...anyone else still seeing like 1-5%?

man i have .15-.30% - i lowered my bid but idk it seems like it seemed like fb slowly trickled my ad down in impressions - i think i made my bid like .15-.20 or somthing with .30% CTR - wtf

has any cracked the proper bid for each CTR?

true but would it help me if he clicks on the same ad - not even min apart 10x in a row? It's also the principle of the situation:

What about click fraud?

Well it depends a lot on the market.

One of my ads with very good CTR has a limited audience. I can't get decent impressions bidding at $0.20.

Instead what I do is I jack the bids up...like up to $2.00. My cpc goes up a little bit, but I'm getting a lot of impressions compared to before. Guys that don't have has high CTR / CPC get pushed out because Facebook rather give the impressions to some guy with really high CTR/ really high bids.

It's pretty much my strategy for Facebook. I sacrifice a little ROI for more volume since I'm on weekly payments. Facebook is essentially bidding for the impressions. It's all about testing/tracking your progress. I'd love to bid .20 and get massive impressions but it doesn't work that way.
