It is pretty clear that is not the case at all. This anti Christian shit is getting pretty old. Yes, I am Christian, Catholic to be most specific. You won't catch me on here bashing you because your Atheist. But , I will say something if you think it's cute to post anti Christian messages every day.

I am actually making fun of an REAL HAPPENING THING.

A law/educational crisis that came out of a Christian conservative mindset.

And, not to worry, I make fun of all religions and religious people in general.

We are living in a world where wars are fought because of religious fanatics. We live in a world where teens get pregnant because religious fanatics do not want them educated. We live in a world where the last leader of your church, forbid raped women to get an abortion.

I could go on and on about this....

You know, as all this is happening, don't expect me to take pity on your "morals" or your belief.

I am not even insulting the religion per se... I am just plain insulted by the stupidity that results out of it.
These kids in Florida are suffering because some fucknuts decide that sex ed is "sinful" and needs to be banned. And no.. a lot of those kids are probably not religious themselves, they just have to live with being uneducated.

As I said in another thread, the day that Religious fucknuts (of all denominations) keep their shit to themselves and start to care about science and fact is the day I will start caring about their religious feelings.

Here in the western world, it just happens to be the Christians who influence a lot of law making / decision making. So I make fun of it.

It seems I am making fun of these things, and a lot of times, I am.

The reason for this is that I am using humor / sarcasm to bring my points across, to rile a bit and to provoke people.

But I am deeply, deeply disturbed by these religious influences.

I am disturbed by Christian schoolboards passing abstinence-only education and the teaching of creationism.
I am disturbed by the war of religions getting more and more fanatic around us.
I am disturbed by right wingers riding the wave of religious hate to further their own agenda.

Be glad I am only poking a bit of fun here. Getting me into a serious discussion would be less fun.

You have a right to your own personal beliefs. But, if you are going to poke a stick at what I believe in every day, I will send you the occasional "fuck you". I would have not said anything if I seen equal treatment from you towards other religions (like you claim.) About the story, it is pretty ridiculous. I have seen moronic people of all religions and groups (yes even atheists). People are people. When you have a World Population of 6.6 billion, you will have a few nut jobs.

As I said, in the western world, it is mostly Christians who influence our lives and policies.
Basically, I care about society. I am equally outspoken when it comes to tasers, for example. But that doesn't rile you as much, so you didn't notice.

Making light of Sharia law would be equally easy, but as I said, it does not concern me too much, as I have little contact points to the arabic world. I also feel I do not know enough about it to really contribute.

(And yes, even as an Atheist, I got a thorough Christian education...yes, against my will or that of my parents..simply lack of alternatives)

Also, I do NOT want a pat on the back by warmongers and xenophobes, so I tend to stay away from critique of Islam on US messaging boards.

But rest assured, next time a stupid law is passed in the US because of Muslim beliefs, I will make sure to point you to the corresponding news item as well.

As for the "idiots are everywhere" I agree. The difference between a religious idiot and an atheist one is that the atheist might say, "yes, I am an idiot".
The religious idiot will point you to the righteousness of his actions - after all his God(s) told him so.

And as to the "right to my personal beliefs" I am an atheist... I do not believe.

Wow - what a great representative of your beliefs you are. Have you considered that in the same thread you profess your religion you also decided to make "FUCK YOU" in big bold letters?

If you think that makes sense or shows what a good little Christian you are why not print it out and give it to your priest?

EMP has the right to spend 24 hours a day bashing religion if he so choses. You have the right to attempt to debate him, or evangelize your religion... however, I'd suggest a different method than the one you are currently using.
