I still think it's supply and demand. The words out. People are advertising with Fb. I'm seeing ALOT more banner advertisments than I am social ads and I think it's cause these are the big players with deep pockets. So the more demand the more they can raise their prices and get away with it. They may actually be trying to squeeze us out with the high price bids. We'll see how it plays out. Again, I hope I'm wrong.

I think this will backfire on Facebook- no advertiser is stupid enough to bid 70-80 cents a click for Facebook-quality traffic, and if any advertiser is that stupid, they will run out of money very, very quickly.

I've been running fine all day. And I'm not too sure what "Facebook quality traffic" is supposed to me given that I have a conversion rate of 30% from the click of the ad on Facebook to the money in my acct...

:D I think your ad copy/lp copy sucks and that's why you're getting no conversions. Rethink them, or perhaps your offer isn't good either. Retool the campaign instead of denouncing the traffic source- I know many people who are doing $500/day plus with Facebook.
 
Oh well, I'm just going stick with my .25-.30 bids and see what happens. I'm really counting on Turbo's analysis that it's just the christmas shopping season that is making the bids so high. That will give me something to look forward to at least and keep me interested.

Shouldn't this thread be a sticky by now?

It doesn't need to be. It gets enough posts that it just stays up. Why add Viagra to a perfectly good erection?
 
For anyone trying to do IP cloaking, there are other ways to cloak besides refer url and IP... Think about it.

Well, I haven't gotten anything on my new ad today either. Whatever is going on I hope it gets fixed quick. I am still waiting to get my first conversion. It's ruff being a virgin in all. hehehehehe
 
FB is retarded if they think doubling the costs overnight is going to make them money. I had an ad doing .36 ctr, .07 click, something like 7000 clicks a day. It actually started at .04 but creeped up as more people entered the auction. This sudden jump doesn't add up at all. It's a bug or it's FB getting too greedy too fast. Even Google took about 3 years before they started screwing people and they did it because they were in a position to do it. FB is nowhere in that position yet.
 
Can anyone get an ad through right now? I'm alreadly gotten about 15 disabled...this is just becoming futile.
 
yah my impressions and clicks have bombed big time today. I wonder if facebook is taking on some big players in the ppc or if they got some big cpm advertisers...whatever the case lets hope its a holiday phenomenon.

I think it's been well established that the weekend crew is a bunch of undereducated, underpaid idiots with a vendetta against affiliates.

I imagine once Facebook runs out of VC money and the $15B valuation gets knocked down a few pegs they'll get more permissive with ad guidelines.


FB wants to maintain a high level of user trust in the ads, I understand that. But so does Google, and they let through many ads Facebook doesnt.

Man, i'm not getting any impressions, even with $1.00 bids... I thought something would have changed this morning.
 
Oh the irony...my account limit gets upped to $250 this morning, yet my campaigns that I spend money on are in a coma it seems...
