The photos you got of the bigger woman has the copyright Swimsuits For All. Without looking at the site I'm going to guess it's swimsuits for plus-sized women. Like, big girls only... and they're not in the 'normal' swimsuit magazine/targeting.
Average-sized women are outraged because they're calling a couple of large but relatively fit women (compared to most Americans) plus-sized.
The photos are from a plus-sized swimwear ad, but they're all over the place right now because Sports Illustrated decided to include 2 "plus sized" models in their latest swimsuit edition. Average-sized women are outraged because they're calling a couple of large but relatively fit women (compared to most Americans) plus-sized.
Oh, ok, didn't hear anything about this. Media going to be on this like fat girl on Nutella.
Checking out the photos they're calling plus-sized on Twitter, doesn't really make you think 'plus size'. Plus size for models though? Absolutely.
I get why this is horrible for the average USA girl who is now staring at that girl and thinking they're now plus size.

Yeah, Robin Lawley looks perfectly fine. The other one is definitely a little smooshy, but still thinner and better proportioned than the "average" American woman once you account for height.
I guess it would be far too sane to come up with a more accurate name for models who are somewhere in between stick-thin and overweight...and not nearly as lucrative and attention-getting.
that's a perfect example of "world, conform to me" vs what we all know is reality in every single instance, which is 'the market determines what sells'.
and you have the audacity to call the system insane? of course you do. you're an advocate of molding all of us, rather than molding YOU. its easier that way, right? hang on while we all change to suit you, you liberal idioitic fuck.
You sound grumpy. I don't know where you got the idea that I'm trying to mold anybody, I'm just pointing out that the term doesn't make a lot of sense when you apply it to a perfectly healthy, thinner than average woman like Robin Lawley. In clothing stores, "plus-sized" is generally size 14 or 16 and up. In modeling, they start throwing the term around with sizes as small as 8. It's inconsistent.
Yet, funny thing... I don't see women drooling over fat guys. Actually, quite the opposite. I see them constantly drooling over guys like this:

Huh, go figure.
- Gap in front teeth
- Cheesy gold necklace
- Poor chest development
- Cheap plastic watch
3/10
But srsly they're drooling over him cos he runs into burning buildings to save children. If he was a poop scooper they wouldn't be drooling'. Mens only take into account looks, women take into account a multitude of factors rather evenly.
not grumpy at all. if you have a problem with clothing stores, bitch at clothing stores. if you have a problem with modeling, bitch at modeling. either way, don't bitch at "the marketing system" that your gender craves and gets fed. that shit gets old. take your misplaced blame elsewhere.
