Friend was raided by the DEA

You sound like a butthurt meter maid.
I actually date a meter maid. It's her butt that hurts and that's why she keeps coming back with my sandwich in one hand and my ironed shirts in the other.

You're a good dude and I apologize to you and to all for my part in derailing this interesting thread.

Sounds to me like he tried to order a bunch of methylone (bath salts) for the first time and got caught and its trying to blame it on the supplier

First time? He was making enough to have $80k cash saved in a safe, and a money counter in his living room. More likely, the DEA have been watching him for quite a while, recently decided they've already gained as much intel as they're going to by following him around, so decided it was time to arrest him.

Honest question: Is your gf happy with her job?

I tend to instantly loath meter-maids when I see them. Even more so than tow-truck drivers for some reason.

He also had pounds of that shit in his home already as well as baggies.

Not derailing, participating. Get your head up.

You can't talk your way out of prison, but you can talk your way in. That applies to the 100% innocent, as well. I see a high number of comments that naively attempt to ascribe rationality to non-rational actors.

inb4 Eagle get's taken down for his new "bath salts" and "fake weed" importing company venture.

Thanks Obama.

Actually on the surface Obama probably has little to do with all this. He's been supportive of drugs overall - has voiced on several occasions to ease regulation of Marijuana. And he himself (Obama) has been an admitted user of Marijuana and cocaine - which say's a lot.

All that said, having money counting machines, $80k dollars in cash in a safe, and secret meetings by a loading dock to pick up "legitimate cooking salts" is no one's fault but OP's friend. If it is all a mix-up, then things will be ironed out in due time, but the fact that the guy is fleeing and wants an attorney to "strike a deal with the DOJ and prosecutor" say's a lot.

As for the fact that he isn't able to find a warrant, in many of these cases the warrants are issued under seal until they are executed and returned. I have no doubt that a properly issued warrant was executed at his residence and it's evident that he also has a warrant out for his arrest by now as well if there wasn't one originally.

All that said- reading the guy's story that he posted, he's clearly a nut and is high on something.... Oh wait, we are talking about a guy that paid $100k to get a degree from a well known diploma mill Full-Sail. :crap:

Seriously OP and everyone else I don't care how well you think you know this individual. But do yourself a favor and distance yourself as much as possible from him, there is no good that can come out of all this.

Your friend's actual choices:

1. Go to prison
2. Flee the country and maybe never come back

Why didn't he ask if Himalayan salt is legal to sell? in metric tons?

Before he started his business venture in a blazing fashion

Seriously... You really have to wonder why the puppet gave a bunch of drug dealers and crack addicts commuted sentences. I will say that the US prison population is ridiculous and a systemic problem, but choosing to avoid the issues because he can "sympathize" because he was a crack cocain user himself is ludicrous.

Ohhh... Obama supporters

Himalayan salt is rock salt.

Literally, it's the same stuff you get on your fries.

Sodium chloride.

It's perfectly legal to import, buy, sell, distribute, share with friends, inject, inhale, insufflate, smoke or rectally administer.

The problem is that he didn't buy "Himalayan Salt". He bought Methylone, a psychoactive drug.

(Methylone is incidentally fairly harmless, I'm not sure why people are speaking as if it's deadly - there's tons of different "bath salts" and they all do different things. The media ignorantly lumps them all together and releases horror stories of people out of their mind taking them. The stories are akin to me saying "yeah he took a load of drugs and then killed her", and you then concluding that aspirin will cause someone to kill people too, because it's also a drug.

Methylone's behaviour profile is fairly similar to MDMA, which is as likely to kill you as riding a horse. It's not addictive, like Meth, Heroin, Nicotine or Cocaine. It is a scheduled substance though, and so it is illegal to import, possess or sell. )

100% on the money. Without a doubt the warrant is sealed.

LOL 100k spent on an unaccredited diploma mill.

OP you need to listen to this guy. He knows what he's talking about.
