Friend was raided by the DEA

Methylone's behaviour profile is fairly similar to MDMA, which is as likely to kill you as riding a horse. It's not addictive, like Meth, Heroin, Nicotine or Cocaine. It is a scheduled substance though, and so it is illegal to import, possess or sell. )

Interesting. I was under the impression the effects are similar to MDMA, but that Methylone has far more harmful side effects. Even so, these research chemicals are still relatively untested compared to stuff like MDMA, Meth, Nicotine, etc.

I'm still blown away that moron mentioned a 250% profit margin on Himalayan salt in his blog. He's totally fucked.

Yeah, biggest problem with the relatively untested drugs like Methylone is additional long term side effects that aren't known, but in terms of short term effects it seems fairly comparable with MDMA.

I do find it a hilarious irony of our entire drug classification system though, when people are taking random untested drugs to get a similar effect to drugs that are less harmful than alcohol, and have been tested for decades.

Druggies haven't exactly always been the most logical of folk.

It probably comes down to misinformation. "How bad could it be if it's legal?" kind of mentality.

Really need to do a better job of educating people, who knows what kind of long-term side effects these designer drugs will have on people. It's crazy the amount of effort people put into finding a new high.

You and I have a great choice - we shouldn't get ourselves needlessly caught up in the DEA's (or law enforcement in general) crosshairs. It's not at all difficult to do and it shouldn't crimp our lifestyles an iota.

“There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws.” Ayn Rand

I've never been prosecuted for a felony, or a misdemeanor for that matter. Infractions, such as traffic tickets, come about and get paid because it's kind of stupid not to pay them.

Trying to defend stupid shits who attempt to import things the U.S. government is trying to control is stupid in itself.

Quote Ayn Rand and reference Amazon. It still doesn't change the fact when you do things that aren't really bright, there are sometimes consequences.

I'll never understand the willingness to defend stupid.

It's stupid to pay traffic tickets without fighting them by trial by declaration. I've beaten or helped others beat ones for carpool lane violations, right turn only, red light cameras, and cell phone violations.

The guy made a bad choice. But it doesn't change the fact that the goal of every government is to have enough laws so anyone can be arrested anytime for any reason.

Wait till the Feds get that ex pilot who wants to sell coffee beans....shit will get realz

Ayn Rand was brilliant and so much of what she's written has come to pass. She didn't devote much energy towards the defense of (at best) remarkably stupid activity, though.

So it's tough to project what her thoughts would be on this one. My guess is that she'd wait to hear what an agency's case was before accusing them setting up citizenry.

The funny thing is I once sent for some world renowned talcum powder from Colombia to sooth my chapped ass - and they sent me cocaine instead. When the DEA intercepted my talcum powder, I hid out at a friend's place until my ass got so itchy I turned myself in.

After calling them fucking scumbags I dropped trou and showed them why I made the order and then an agent prepared a soothing paste from the coke and applied it directly on my afflicted grundle. They let me walk away feeling pretty damn good. But I can't expect luck like that twice. Now I just get Johnson & Johnson.

Long story short, most here was right, he wasn't selling salt.

Nice guy, had a bunch of debt wracked up that was federalized (student loans & back taxes) and decided to try and get rid of it quick.

Fucking sucks you can't default on both, I understand what he was trying to do, but come on man, that shit always comes back to hunt you, just like child support payments.

I'm genuinely sorry to hear that. I enjoyed the rest of his blog, he seems to smart to get up in shit like this.

As per who the two guys I know who are up a similar creek: one drove his 4th generation family business into the ground just by being himself and the other is pretty much a bad seed from a well connected family (people figure he has best representation and will be the one who will be cutting the deal).
