I got my advanced in scuba... Can't count how many sharks I've swam with. Whether going on a boat and throwing bloody chum and "waiting" while your snorkel, or seeing them unexpected on reefs.... Nothing makes you feel more alive than to see a 2, 5, 10, 15, or 20 footer. I've seen whites, blues, makos, tigers, leopards, angels, etc. there's two things I'd probably never wanna see tho, fucking orcas scare me for some reason and bull sharks.... Lol

Probably cos Orcas scare the shit out of great whites

Yeah no doubt... Sometimes I swim out to far and fuck around with the seals wearing my "jump suit, dry suit or wetsuit and my fins" and look like an asshole seal, then alla sudden sometimes they "disappear" and it's a really fucking earie feeling seeing that there's a shit ton of whites in socal that people don't know about and also how white sharks like to breach.

I remember seeing my first shark, was in the Virgin Islands in Redhook - Sapphire beach to be exact. Was right at sunddown, was about 100+ yards out and I was snorkeling not diving and I was 21. Vis was about 100+ feet, depth was about 30/40 feet and crystal clear, around 5:30pm (feeding time in most cases). It was a Caribbean black tip reef shark and it was a big one, about 7 feet in length. I remember it vividly; my heart was going 100miles a second. I was like "oh fuck, checkmate". I put my nose/eyes under the water and started to backstroke to the shore not taking my eyes off the son of a bitch and just went back slowly. The fucked up part was that the shark, wasn't going away but instead coming at me but at a very slow speed... It's head was facing me, and I remember seeing it's back caudal fin swaying from left to right while his head remained in my direction..

Here's a picture of me with my man boobs the next day (with a fucking steak knife strapped to my arm incase he wanted to have a mexican stand-off or something). It didn't stop me from going in the water tho. I didn't have my dive knife so I had to make due. Pure lulz.

Anyway, yeah - skurrred the shit out of me no doubt.

lol @ cankles.

I once took a kayak out in the ocean to drop off some shark bait. I was going out about 200 yards. It is a very creepy feeling being 200 yards off shore baiting up a fish and dropping it into the ocean knowing how common 10 ft sharks are in certain areas.
