This thread is like the threads about the guy who makes money pushin' [instert niche] by targeting [instert angle] and everyone else comments on how they did the same thing and lost money.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still very much in the green with aapl this year....just made a bad trade yesterday is all. Pissed at myself because I should know better than to trade the news. Going to wait to see if it goes back to being range bound and let some of the dust settle.

4 hour chart paints similar picture.. it's landed right on the 38 fib on the gap down, and right at the april high.. My guess is that if it starts to drop now, it will at least close that gap highlighted on your chart, then we will see if money pours back in or not..

and for anyone who is elliot wave fan, the corrective move since the highs of Sept 2012 looks like A,B so far.. If the pattern concludes, and follows the rules, then C should be beyond the lows of 2013...

Take note that moving averages is a lagging indicator and is simply an indication of a change in trend. It does not necessarily mean that from this point on Apple will begin springing forward. This is just a confirmation that in the recent months, the trend has officially turned from bearish to bullish.
 
For every Golden cross that has worked, you can find 10 that didn't. Moving averages make you broke. Price action is the only way.

Yes, just as I said along with the chart, a cross of moving averages isn't exactly a catalyst. It just speaks about the prior price action, not the future. One thing though is that there are bots that work off moving average cross, and begin buying.
 
Maybe I just don't know enough about the subject but all of those patterns look pretty damn random to me.
