Every time I was about to commit a moral act I think of the following

Am I really making the world a better place?

Did I choose to forsake higher profit simply out of fear or cowardice?

Even cowardice is not that bad because I do get a benefit from it, namely less harm. Am I just being truly stupid?

I rarely ever see acts that are moral and not profitable at the same time.

For example, I acted honestly with my friends. Am I a moral person? Well, it's just common sense. Why betray your friends if you can have friends for life?

Great money is in long relationship. I take care of my children. Am I moral? Well, I'll die and obviously my children is what's left. It's only natural.

What about paying tax? What about giving up gun? What about not tripping? What about having sex outside marriage? What about joining corruption ring?

In one hand what's profitable is the opposite of what's moral.

Then I start asking those questions.

sometimes when i put the tie back on the bread, i leave too much air inside, and i wonder what kinds of things could fit into that space. for example, i doubt those patches on captain kirk's shirt were really functional communication devices, and even if they were, they were unregulated and possibly dangerous if one of my friends happened to be standing nearby.

as far as capitalism is concerned, morality doesn't get you too far. a major handicap to success.
for non capitalistic endeavors and or the people i know, i try to be as moral as possible

Mm it's really hard to be a good person and make lots of money. I can't think of anyone who has figured out how to do it successfully. So I don't even try. I just go right for things that involve worsening the lives of others to balance the scales of my profit.

But if you go to the sperm bank and masturbate using one hand and the other hand, you are being both moralistic and profitable at the same time.
