Am I really making the world a better place?
Did I choose to forsake higher profit simply out of fear or cowardice?
Even cowardice is not that bad because I do get a benefit from it, namely less harm. Am I just being truly stupid?
I rarely ever see acts that are moral and not profitable at the same time.
For example, I acted honestly with my friends. Am I a moral person? Well, it's just common sense. Why betray your friends if you can have friends for life?
Great money is in long relationship. I take care of my children. Am I moral? Well, I'll die and obviously my children is what's left. It's only natural.
What about paying tax? What about giving up gun? What about not tripping? What about having sex outside marriage? What about joining corruption ring?
In one hand what's profitable is the opposite of what's moral.
Then I start asking those questions.
