Yeah, good stuff man. Thanks for sharing. Number seven is one I've been working on lately a lot. I find it very easy to get distracted by setbacks or things not working out like I wish they would. I forget sometimes how lucky I am.

I'm so good at #7 that it tends to have the effect of killing my motivation. I look around and realize how fortunate I am and it makes it kinda hard to bust my ass like I used to.

I hear you. I'm so happy with my life and what I have - it's completely demotivating. (And I'm no baller and financially don't have enough to cause envy amongst any but the homeless.)

When I was younger I used to envy others success. As I got older and learned the principle "There is always someone bigger than you" in the gym and I realized that lesson applies to everything else.

No point in envy when no matter what, someone is more successful than you at a younger age (not counting outliers).

Comparing yourself to others is the most efficient way I can think of to be miserable.

It's also entirely useless. Others' wealth/happiness/success or lack thereof has no bearing on yours, unless you work with them, marry them, learn from them, or sell to them.

Jealousy is just an externalised form of self-hatred, and the sooner you give that up as a habit, the better.

Great tips to being a happy, fullfilled, well rounded person.

Sucks for me; I want to be rich, so most of that doesn't apply, I don't want to overcome my envy, I want to transfer it on to others (most of that list is counter productive to being rich/powerful; the men who shape the world are all too often ill at ease... that is why they shape it)
