^ LOL I know that feel.

I just moved into a condo and the undergrounds here are a biatch so had to see my slade (rubbing pipes and shit) and now haven't driven for a while, like a month actually - odd when you realize how little you need a ride - but I'm starting to itch so I'll be grabbing something again soon.

Sounds like your ride needs some WD40 and lube, man.

Depends entirely on where do you live. I would be literally lost without a car.

This is true. Outside of major cities, public transportation is nearly non-existent.

In my area, you have cabs you could call (but you'll be paying a fairly high fare because they have to take the time to drive where you are), public buses that require you to be a registered disabled or senior citizen, or your own car - because most places are rural. The only sidewalks are in the city, and only around larger subdivisions, and the highways only have a bicycle lane if you're lucky. So, cars are a necessity. Which is why the oil companies know they have our country by the balls.

Why car when you can plane/train/rent a car by the mile (taxi).

inb4 robot cars

Car is freedom if you don't live in the middle of a town/city. If I want a taxi I have to wait 20 mins for it to come out and pick me up, and it doubles the price too.

Not to mention train routes are rarely optimal from where I am to much of the country (you're talking 3-4hrs by train vs 1hr in car in some cases) and having to get a taxi somewhere that far would just be a "errm, no" because of the obscene price.

I can understand why people that live in cities don't though.. If I lived in London I wouldn't bother, because you can get much anywhere via train/plane/taxi pretty cost/time efficiently.

are you for real?

I mean, you obviously believe what you are saying, but man, you are so wrong. Everyone with a car, takes at least some photos of it, let alone people with great cars.

It's something with you or people around you, but it's definitely the other way around. People love to brag, especially about their cars. It's a natural extension of the owner.

depends entirely on the demographic. if someone takes pics of their car so they can show it around to people, they're either a kid, a brokeass, a loser, a wanna be, or all of the above.

+1

2006 Range Rover Kahn Black Label - sold it after 2 years don't have a single picture of it.

2008 M6 coupe - sold it after 2.5 years don't have a single picture of it

I'll take a picture of someone else's car for ideas, but would never randomly snap a picture of something that I own and can see in the garage whenever I want...
