Just got my first true mechanical keyboard

I agree but there are proper tools and those that are overkill. Mechanical remind me of overkills.

PS: I purchased Qpad MK-85 yesterday, after seeing this thread. Saw someone above have it and love it. Makes me feel good about my purchase. I am not very hesitant when I switch gear. I hope I love it.

I don't think it matters how much of a difference it makes compared to a chair considering we can't measure that. It's an accessory that gets used >10 hours/day for a one time fee and makes work more enjoyable. It's also evidently not for everyone, just as the Herman Miller isn't.

Who gives a shit, spend your money on what you want and disregard what the fuck other people say or do.

Personally, if I wanna buy a $5k keyboard I dont see or care what anyone's thoughts are on it so when someone says the money would be better spent on a some Herman Miller chair I just disregard what they say. Same goes for someone buying a $600 used Honda and telling me about it, I could care less what the fuck they do and I for sure am not going to tell them they did the "wrong" thing.
