Hey everyone,
i've read these forums for a while an just got a couple of questions, i have a new domain. quite literally 4 days old.
I coded it myself, followed most of the information from a few SEO guides Ive read and im pretty happy to test it out. Ive read that keyword density identifies what i want to rank for in google, so my keyphrase is sitting at about 3.20% density at the moment, all i need now to move up the SERPs is backlinks yes?
how should i tackle this for the fastest possible movement up the serps? i have no problem paying for backlinks BUT i want to know how much is too much? like i saw one in this forum for 30k backlinks that are drip fed over a certain amount of time.
ive done some research on my main competitor for this keyword and he only has 750 backlinks, and none with the keyphrase in the anchor. BUT he does have a shitload of history on me. a domain registered for over 7 years.
My site got indexed within the first few hours and only just got a PR of 0 in the past hour, so i consider now anytime im not working on increasing my serp rating wasted time
also what do you consider a "niche"? 10k monthly local? 100k monthly local? if you dont want to answer thats fine i can just test it out, just never seen a definitive number in my readings. thanks and i apologize if this is answered elsewhere.
