COPEAC stopped paying?

Kind of a dick move to publish Steve's and the other employees emails in here while hiding yours. #justsayin

DICK MOVE? Dick move is COPEAC owing me 17k and not paying after chasing them very hard! They know who I am so I have nothing to hide from them!

I'm no expert in the CPA field but I've always wondered why networks paid weekly and bi-weekly when their advertisers pay them NET-30 for the most part. Why take such an unnecessary risk? It's not like affiliates will stop working with them if they paid monthly. Adsense pays people monthly and no one is complaining.

Networks will pay weekly to remain competitive. If an affiliate has the choice between two networks to run the same campaign at the same rate, chances are they'll run with the network that pays quicker.

Paying weekly isn't that big of a deal risk-wise as long as you have strong policies in place to support that kind of payment structure.

They pay weekly/bi weekly for you to earn them and yourself more by generating bigger revenue overall. Very fast turnaround of funds. Typical adsense publisher paid peanuts as well as his traffic is SEO so he/she nothing to lose, then yeah, you can paid monthly, sometimes even yearly with no complaints LOL

bigger aff will stop, that's why you are not expert in CPA

There are guys doing a lot more than that in a week. Say you do even $10k per day, on weeklies, with payment being sent each Wednesdays. That's 10 days of earnings potentially outstanding. I am sure coming from a company like Copeac, saying "oh it was a minor accounting issue", most pubs would continue to run for at least a few more days. So a total of 12 - 14 days at $10k per day adds up fast.

For the big guys it's not hard to rack up $10k per day... It only takes 400 conversions on a campaign that pays out $25, or even some of the higher paying bizopps that are like $90 that would 111 sales or so. Guys that can do volume like that are most likely not running only 1 campaign, they are running a few...

Think big.

Yes, I've broke 10k in a single day. For one offer I've done over 80% of Experians TOTAL (every network had their caps pulled for me) leads (edu stuff). I was saying it's not unreasonable to have a large amount outstanding. I've had over 60k out, but not $75k.

I do think big, that's why I'm a whitelist mailer (yahoo / aol) and hit cables pretty hard. Being incarerated for a while pretty much blew everything I had up, so I had to start over. Yay, for next month when the whitelists come rolling back in.

I think you miss read my post.

@Crackp0t - I know you think big. I was agreeing with you.

I actually was addressing the rest of the guys that were amazed people had that much outstanding.

Once you get your WLs back up & running, talk to me about some exclusive data opportunities. Yahoo is spoken for, but AOL is still open. Feeds will be small for the next couple weeks as we are beta testing new software that serves as the backbone for the offers, but once we go wide it will pick up quick. =)

@Avatar - Networks pay weekly because pubs are buying media, most of the time prepaying, and arbitraging that traffic into a CPA. It helps them keep cash flow there to scale campaigns faster and bigger. It's part of the service that networks provide and one of the reason they earn their piece of the pie. Its also competitive as Steve said.

You must not generate any sort of real revenue (unless you spam, or do SEO) because if you bought traffic, you know you don't want to owe Yahoo/Google/Media Buys thousands of dollars.

Networks also need to compete to get your traffic since so many have the same offers.

Ive never heard of an advertiser paying NET30 for any niches I am involved with, I pay all my networks weekly, no reason not to unless you have some sort of refund/chargeback policy like a Clickbank product.

Since they never answered my emails for months, but i still keep receiving their promo emails begging for traffic, kinda sarcasm

they might as well close up shop. Since they ain't going to acknowledge anyone in here or put out a public statement. Hey mike, your companies rep is getting worse by the day. Better snatch up cpagazelle.com before it's gone.

Plenty of advertisers are firm Net 30s, mostly the bigger branded offers. Getting anything faster than Net 15 from a brand is close to impossible. Either you act like a bank and finance them or someone else will. In most cases it's okay if you do your due diligence and aren't handing out 6+ figure credit lines to every advertiser you work with.

Mitigating risk is one of the most important parts of running a network. It always amazes me when I talk to another network and they just want to throw one of my exclusives up, no credit check, terms, etc. As a network that's a huge risk... if you don't have the proper terms in place and you don't get paid there isn't a lot of recourse. If you don't check advertiser's references and bank accounts, you could be extending credit to someone who has like $2gs in the bank. YIKES!

Blok - Most continuity and generic lead advertisers will pay a lot faster. If they don't the networks will just go get a similar campaign from another advertiser or build their own.

All bigger companies I worked with pay NET-30; I was lucky to get a few NET-15.
