Account got banned just a few minutes ago, was my personal account too. What the fuck should I do now? Is using proxies/VCCs still working or what?
Blegh, it's shit like this that worries me. I just got an email yesterday from Facebook:
Hi,
We've noticed that you are currently running Facebook Ads that violate our Advertising Guidelines or Terms of Use.
Please note that we do not allow ads for dating services with a sexual emphasis.
Please delete any ads that violate these policies within 48 hours to bring your account into compliance with Facebook policies. Continuing to run ads that violate our policies may result in additional action being taken on your account, including possible termination.
Wtf?
Dating is only going to get harder I'd recommend doing something else or switching traffic. If I somehow get a new account I'm doing gaming and nothing else.
I thought so, there's no way that they would change their policy that drastically.
It's really hard to distinguish between honesty and ignorance these days. I personally have tried my absolute best to keep everything as whitehat as possible and I never say anything that I am not 100% sure about.
Reason I originally chose Dating was because I was told it was very beginner-friendly and easy to make a decent profit off of. I'm not looking to take the easy route by any means, but I was just trying to learn.
Has anyone received an e-mail like the one I posted above, and NOT gotten banned shortly afterward? I'm a bit concerned starting my next campaign...not wanting to get banned the very next day and all.
I noticed that certain niches are fairly safe like sports, web design, self help, gaming, health/fitness. Unfortunately you will also have good competition so you might have to set your bids higher.
Internet marketing, make money online, gambling etc are not advisable...not on FB ads anyway.

How far below? I've tried the strategy of starting at .10 and slowly increasing, but I was told by my AM that you should always bid suggested. I'm really debating going back to that strategy, especially when the lead is 1.40. High conversion rate, but with my CPC where its at...its fucking impossible. Lost 160 dollars in 20 minutes today.
Is it me or do CTR's rapidly drop when you switch from CPC to CPM?

2. "grieve", I don't know who the fuck told you to start at a low bid and increase, because that's as fucking wrong as it gets. From what I heard, suggested bids right now are completely inflated. Disregard them. I don't know your targets, but it's safe to assume that you starting your CPC at 85c is reasonable. Start at 85c, score the high CTR, let the CPC drop naturally. Once it drops, drop your CPC bid which should be about 50% higher than your current CPC. So if your CPC drops to 30c a click, drop your bid down to 45c minimum. Once it sinks down to 20c a click, you drop your bid down to 30c.
NEVER FORCE A LOWER CPC. IT WILL KILL YOUR AD.
3. For "goingviral101", what you are seeing has been discussed many many times. There has always been a huge difference in CTR between the CPC and CPM model. Facebook serves your ads on different placements/positions on the CPM model. They have no incentive for giving you prime positions when you are bidding CPM. Simple as that.
