So sick of this shit with Ron Paul!

Liberals are, in general, much more OK with mass manipulation and relativism than are conservatives, not neo-cons, people that are truly conservative. The intellectual conservative will understand how manipulation works but it goes against their grain to implement such strategies on the grand scale.

This makes much more sense

The disconnect between neo-cons and real conservatives is what's key here. I suppose I am just accustomed to talking to people who are unaware of the difference, and assumed the same with you.

I'm not sure I agree though...Is it mass manipulation if you have a truthful and honest agenda? I think so, and I've seen some email blasts come out of RP's campaign that were marketed very well, maybe even manipulative. They know they have to play the game to have a shot, and are doing fairly well at it. You don't have to lie to manipulate, although it is much easier if you do.

It is just too broad of a generalization for me to accept. I would be open to changing my opinion as I dig a bit deeper though.

dude...they used the term "nazi" almost simultaneously with the RP reference.

i do see your point though...but with everything else the media so blatantly does...im going to have pull out the tin foil hat for this one.

Yeah I know but they also said "One of Hitler's Guys" right after showing a Willie Nelson Biodiesel sticker as well (about 25 seconds in video). Somehow I don't think the Breaking Bad writers think he is a Nazi.

they just pwned your thought process

Let's be honest here. "Lefties" in America are Right-wing in Europe (usually).

Democrats = UK Conservatives
Republicans = UK BNP

Unfortunately both sides manipulate because both sides believe in what they do. Both sides are hypocritical because they wan't to try and prove that the other side is wrong even if they have done it themselves.

Take an example. I'm not from the US but as far as I gather, many people blame Obama for all the debt. From an external view he was just placed in tough times, in fact it was Bush who funded the very first wars off only debt.

From this image it looks a whole lot like Bush (2001-2009) infact increased the debt by a HUGE factor. Yet everyone seemed to be blaming Obama when the debt ceiling had to be raised.

This kind of thing will always be going on, either side. That's why the lines between left and right are often crossed with political parties but what interests me more is a person's personal beliefs. For instance, how does left a left wing person treat life differently to a right wing person? It an impossible question to answer but I thought I would just throw in my point that all political parties are extremely hypocritical (I've noticed this in extreme ways in the US).

Why don't you post a pretty graph showing how much debt Bush incurred and how much Obama incurred? I don't know why you're sucking Obama's cock, but it's fairly common knowledge that Bush borrowed half a trillion a year and Obama borrowed 1.5 trillion a year, more than triple the amount.

So while your pathetic strawman argument that "people blame Obama for ALL the debt" is clearly ludicrous, Obama accelerated the debt acquisition to a rate never seen before, and it's why we're about to go careening off a cliff.

I remember in 08 when Obama was elected. I think Obama had the potential, but he was too young (lol he's 50 now), inexperienced, and easily convinced by those around him. The only thing that was appealing about him was the fact that he was young, black, charismatic, and appeared to be honest... He really did fuck up big time.

Back to the topic:

Ron Paul is an honest candidate who would not be deterred by outside forces and actually has some knowledge about the economy. He's old, wise, humble, what more could you want in a candidate? Seriously, if this country gets anyone else but Ron Paul, we're fucked.

Looks like we've hit stage 2 - translation is laugh or ridicule from the Gandhi quote, but here:

You're getting desperate. The truth is, Communist Obama accelerated the rate of debt acquisition to a level never seen before in U.S. history, over 1.5 trillion a year.

Go ahead. Stand on the side of the communists. It's only just beginning.

Average income around World War II was $1,000 and there were nearly 200 billion less people in the US.

When Reagan became president the per capita income was $30,000 less than now and the population was nearly 100 billion less.

Obama spending a trillion today is like Reagan spending 250 billion in 1980, or Roosevelt spending 20 billion in 1942. That's why the most accurate indicator of spending is the dept spending to GDP ratio, not total dollar amounts.
