Almost Beat Out John Chows Blog Today

Fuck I was so close but there is still 10 minutes left, maybe I can pull it off, according to some Spotplex stats I was only 3 more hits away from taking him down for the 24 hour ranking. Here is the picture.

My blog is ranked 27th highest in the spotplex system for today. As you can tell I own the Heroes Episode Listing Blog.

Maybe If I didn't visit his site this morning I would have beat him haha.

Oh I should probably add that John's blog has been up for 6 months while mine has only been up for around 3 weeks haha, I'm really starting to like Spotplex.

Man some of this competition is fairly stiff, the top article for today recieved 39,000 views and the third or fourth highest got 18,000 views, all thanks to Digg, I noticed this fourth place person just got his article on a main page of Digg with 300 Diggs.
 


Yeah I know people love to comment on his blog, I swear he pays people to do it, withing an hour or two of posting he always has an instant 30+ comments.

He's got a constant reader base of around 3300 people though, so thats a decent help.

Yeah, his "top commenter for a free link back" program helps a lot as well. I am actually tempted to participate... but I have a feeling (given the current growth rate in comments) I'll need around 500 to 600 comments to get this month's freebie linkback.

Yeah same here, he did give me some good ideas for my own blogs though, linkback wise but I don't really have any relevant blogs where I could use his linkback.

and if takes a minute to make each comment that's 10 hours you could have spent working on your own sites. i suppose if comment can be spamish and not relevant you could go quicker, but then why couldn't others go quicker too?
 
Well I got a message from John Chow today and apparently I was no where close to beating out his blog, I was actually 400 views shy of beating it out, what happened was the Spotplex system had only marked half of his visitors for the day.

I believe him because well if you see his rankings now there going up a hell of a lot better then what they were haha, and to think I was almost going to beat out a guy that makes $7K a month with his blog, well at least beat him out Traffic wise, he's still got me on the money.
 
You must at least be making your fair share, right? I mean are you getting some good traffic on other days using Spotplex?

Yeah other days I do much better with Spotplex, some days its slow, the above blog I was talking about doesn't pull in fuck all only about $4 bucks per day right now, but its only been in the top Google spots for a few days and I just changed to a better layout and I just started offering some targeted affiliate products last night so the money should pick up on that blog soon.

As for the invitation code, you only get one and well not to be a dick but I'm not sharing it, you can only use it so much and I've got some more blogs to add to the system.

You can submit an email to support@spotplex.com and ask to get an invitation code, it took me about a week to get mine after I sent out the email but at that time they were accepting 1000 new blogs, I don't know if they are taking on any more at this point in time but its good to get your name in now, so when they do start taking on more you can get in.

Well a couple people cared, not a whole lot of people but since I was just SHOOTING THE SHIT it doesn't matter all that much, cause this is the place in the forum we come to talk about dumb shit every once and awhile.

I had just emailed them for an invite code and it took 2 days for them to send one to me, maybe they are giving more away right now.

I've put up a few affiliate products on my blogs, no major income coming from any of the 3 I've got in my signature (Affiliate Wise), Its much easier to create a landing site and use PPC to get targeted traffic to an affiliate offer, well thats only if you don't have a decent amount of traffic going to your site.
