(Seeing the success of the first one (page 2 motherfuckers), I decided to give another thread a go)

I tried to post in the original as not to start a redundant thread, but got this message: This Thread is more than 103 days old, you can't reply to it.

Bumping this up, as I've started really getting into GeekTool. Here's what it looks like now:

I have them all set to update every second, and sometimes it seems like it's slowing my computer down a bit, but it's not too bad. Also, there is supposed to be a DOW ticker and a FOREX USD:GBP/USD:EUR setup in those blank spaces, but they didn't want to show up this morning. Oh well.

Next.

Okay I'll bite. Click for the full-sized version. Windows XP home.

I'm primarily a content writer right now and I need as few distractions as possible. Kind of explains why I'm checking this forum, right?

My taskbar and windows are done with Screenshots - SlanXP2 by Simieski - Customize.org. You need something like uxpatcher (it's free) to use it, but there are tons of other msstyles skins you can use for stuff.

The stuff on the side is from RainMeter (Rainmeter.net) and you can Google a lot of skins for it. I used this one Suites_Gnometer | Rainmeter.net and just changed some colors in the settings to match my taskbar and wallpaper.

Neither hurt my computer's performance like at all.

Good luck with Samantha at 9:30pm... hope everything works out for you.

Minimalism rules. (Waits for iPwnNoobs to post a picture of some dope with a computer behind it.)

Programs:
SublimeText for coding
Q10 for writing
SRWare Iron for browsing
Putty for puttying

EDIT: I work with windows fullscreen if possible for every application. Helps keep my focus and use launchy/enso for launching programs. The taskbar is normally hidden as well. I rarely see my desktop.
