NEW Facebook Ads

The only decent sized social network that is setup to actually favor affiliates is Plenty of Fish. Considering that they allow us to target against so many different demographics, it just makes our lives so much easier in getting better CTR's and conversion rates.

+ conversion reports that tell you who's purchasing your product so you can optimize:

I created a brand new ads account today under a different facebook account that's not relatively new and proceeded to add an ad for Cupid and credit card.

1 minute later, my account gets shut down.

"Your account has been disabled. All of your ads have been stopped and should not be run again on the site under any circumstances. Generally, we disable an account if too many of its ads violate our Terms of Use or Advertising Guidelines. Unfortunately we cannot provide you with the specific violations that have been deemed abusive. Please review our Terms of Use and Advertising Guidelines if you have further questions."

Note that I'm using the same IP where I am running the same ads under my main account. So far that main account has not been banned. I guess the writing's on the wall.

Anybody experience somethign similar?

Yeah. Solution is not to have multiple accounts under the same identity.

...did you guys know that Acquisio can now manage FB campaigns? Makes sense to try it out if you push enough volume (I don't do FB at the moment, using Acquisio for search campaigns but thought someone might find this useful). It also seems like FB will treat you more seriously if you overload them through "whitelisted" interface

the only identifiers were my computer and IP, i guess it'll have to be totally unrelated

Apparantly they recently hired a ton of ex-Google engineers so brace yourselves for similar measures - IPs, flash cookies, machine, tracking domains etc are likely to all be tracked eventually... we'll probably even see a Facebook quality score....

Everyone cares about clicks right, not impressions. What I'm saying is that a small business will need to spend more money to get the same amount of clicks as an affiliate.

Practically everyone that I know that runs CPM hard targets heavily. So the demos are typically <500k. The small business will need to spend more money saturating that demo than an affiliate. That's what I'm getting at.

In your example, if my CTR is high enough, then after 100k impressions I might say "Alright, I squeezed out the demo, I'm seeing my conversion rate dropping, time to change targets or try new ads". For a small business, those 100k impressions won't even scratch the surface for them in getting some sales, so they will keep paying for another 100k, and another, and so on.

The ONLY thing FB cares is their eCPM. As an ads API Holder, I can tell you that all their calculations are made based on eCPM.

Where did you hear that from?

anyone noticed a change in dashboard, Clicks data gone and stupid start date and end date taking space. they also added remaining budget as a new column.

it also shows ongoing for campaigns running and has some weird drop down like icon on status.

now u have to click on each campaign to check how many clicks u got today. stupid move
